Multiple fiery and long thin ropes instantly sprouted out from the ground and continuously began to whip the rocks into pieces“Do you even know who I am you stupid brat.” The girl shouted in anger seeing her rocks being shattered continuously“Well, I know you are not fit to be an empress.” Ghou Ling replied instantly standing gallantly on the ground letting the veins to do their work. Though, he was surprised to notice that he had no sigh of exhaustion from this skill since it was a mana eater but he didn’t have time to think about this.“Erg, you-” She shouted in frustration and swung her hands upward Crack! Ghou Ling looked below him to see that the ground was gradually breaking down, just like an earthquake but only in his standing position, he jumped away from the surface in the last second and the earth collapsed“Okay, I’ve played enough.” Ghou Ling muttered tightening his fist, the veins had already destroyed all the approaching rock and stood upright from the ground Swoosh! A swooshing sound made up as Ghou flung his hands mid-air. Understanding the language of Ghou’s hand gesture, the fire veins swiftly and hastily rushed to the girl who instantly made a wall shield. Though, the action of the girl was useless since Ghou Ling practically trained his magic to break through any solid material. The fire veins continue rushing towards the girl who shielded herself through the wall. Crack! The multiple fire veins easily shattered the wall shield heading straight to the girl whose eyes widened. The veins swiftly passed through her stomach leaving a large hole, the girl looked down on her stomach with her eyes red, she turned her head back to Ghou with a lifeless expression, just then her skin got extremely red and glittering with her hair burning into ash, the redness of her body became too extreme that her skin began to melt like a burning candle, not long after her entire body parts became liquidized flowing swiftly like a puddle of water. This was the effect of the fire vein stab, it gradually establish it hot fire into every organ of the victim thereby leading to death liquidizing or in worst cases body explosions. Ghou Ling made a light sigh viewing the puddle which slowly absorbed itself into the earth, he was sad noting that he killed a living being but he had no choice, this was a kill or die policy and he did not have any consideration on dying. Moreover he never wanted this in his life but it was a must to participate since he was a Ling. He instantly buzzed those thought off his head and blinked twice. Right now Ghou Ling sat on the dirty ground, he was tired due to all the fights in the past Dawn, things were even more interesting when he taught of not eating for the past 93 Dawns and yet hunger was scarce, he stared around for a while right before his eyes caught sight of an object deep in the dry and dirty bush which was behind him“What is that.” Ghou muttered trying to get a closer look at the object but he could not figure out the shape.…. Funji Ling Dou peak at Ghou Ling behind a feathered tree which stood about 29ft away from Ghou position“Hum, I thought you would died by now.” Funji Ling muttered staring at Ghou who stood up from the ground and began to walk into the bush“Stupid as always, I hope I won’t fight you in the final Ghou cause I’ll be ready.”Saying his last words, he disappeared from the scene without a trace.…..“What is that.” Ghou Ling walked into the bush having zero knowledge about what he was going to find. After passing through some veins and scanty plants, Ghou got a clear view of the object which was vividly a scepter, having a red faded orb glued to the tip. The body of the scepter was dull golden made out of a material which seemed to be glass mixed with metal. Ghou Ling bent down and tried picking up the object which suddenly became stuck, he made more and more attempt on raising the object but to no avail Cruck! Making unlimited attempts to pick up the object, it finally uprooted from the ground with a skeletal hand which sprouted out along with it“Yuck.” Ghou exclaimed dragging the scepter away from the skeleton. Ghou stared at the body of the scepter for some time unable to think of an idea of how he was to keep it since it was something of greatest value. This scepter, known as scepter of rule had only been used by the one to fifth emperor of Ling before it was lost, this scepter was an important object of rulers of kingdoms or empire since it had the blessing of obedience which could be used on people under the ruler ship of the user, but though, this scepter was extreme with magic making it able to differ between normal people and crowned rulers which meant that it was useless to a commoner and would worth a great deal for Kings, Queens, Emperor’s, Empress, Duke and others“Hum, this could be important if I win, but wait, maybe nature even chooses me to become the next emperor of the empire, ah, this scepter means I will be a great emperor who would change the empire into a famous and easy flow one.” Ghou stood in his position lost in his thought, but he was also correct, nature stood with him firmly, maybe even to upgrade his family name just like Xia said. “Snap out of this Ghou… but wait, yeah, if I become emperor, that dead so called emperor will be shamed in hell weeping with sorrow of his foe claiming the throne, maybe…. Within seconds he found himself in a new scene which vividly was the finalist arena as explained by the announcer in the Empire hall. He was standing on top of a solid earth which floated in the air leaving the hot furnace to release its steam. There was Funji Ling Dou, the one who he recognized well, his body was stained with blood while the combat dagger on his hand were extremely bloody to the extent that blood dripped off it profusely. The other girl who stood behind him had long black hair and small eyes, she was wearing an up-knee blouse gown and a flat black boot.“Ha, Funji how are you, eh.” Ghou waved to Funji who ignored him, the girl who was on the left giggled immediately after hearing the statement from him“Ha-ha, take this.” The girl giggled and slapped her hands in the air towards the direction of both Ghou and Funji who gave her an awkward face Buzz! Buzz! An electric buzz sounded in the air followed by a bust of electric wave which appeared from thin air flying directly towards Ghou and Funji Puff! Funji Ling instantly disappeared from that position unable to be found within any area of the earth while Ghou stood helpless at the red sky gritting his teeth with frustration. The electric wave landed on him sending a strong feeling of pain into his body, after some seconds the electrifying feeling stopped. Ghou’s hair was already spiky and burnt in some parts, he stood still on that position shivering his teeth with his eyes opened wide“Ah, why now.” The girl, Kiara Mihou Ling murmured in a low tone voice rolling her eyeballs with her eyebrows knitted. Immediately, Funji reappeared behind Kiara placing his right arm on her throat while his dagger slowly trailed through her skin“Good bye.” He whispered into her ears and disappeared without a trace, within seconds in reappeared standing in the dead end of the earth only revealing the furnace which bubbled as if excited to see an approaching victim. Funji instantly let go of her leaving her body to fall into the furnace, he turned immediately towards Ghou who seemed to have recover a bit from the electrifying“Ghou, I will-” Right before Funji could complete his last word, Kiara mysteriously appeared right in front of him giving him a violent push. Funji Ling, not given an opportunity to react vastly flew backward to the furnace and fell into it creating a splash which came along with a loud bang.“Eh, Funji.” Ghou shouted seeing Funji Ling as he felled into the hot furnace. Not thinking twice, he suddenly began to throw fire balls and shurikens to Kiara who took in the fire ball and began to avoid the other ones.Moreover Ghou was very lucky due to the excessive mana available in the wall of tempest else he would have been long exhausted determining the rate by which he made each and every attack.“Enough.” Kiara Ling screamed with her fist tightened, a large ball of fire instantly raised from the furnace ready to shoot. Ghou immediately stopped attacking, his jaw dropping on the ground due to what just happened. Right now Ghou wasn’t just amazed by the large fireball from Kiara which he knew he could not create, the main thing was the fact by which she possessed three abilities. Electricity, teleportation and fire. But wait, was she a wizard or something who specialized in multi-magic“I would give you two options Ghou Fe Ling, give me that scepter with you and I will give you a chance to make a request to quit after all there are five more slot, or you continue fighting and die, remember, I bet you can’t even make this ball except from those tiny fireballs of your and those shurikens, so choose.” Kiara Ling offered with a smirk. Though she was making a very good deal but she was so wrong about Ghou’s skill aspect, moreover if she was able to do this skill which he could not even think of making, those other skill would useless since there was a high possibility that she could also possess those skill.“Okay.” Ghou Ling’s voice got dull, he untied the scepter from his waist and threw it to Kiara who successfully caught it__ Request to quit, Yes/No [Tap one] [61/65 quit]__ Yes! Ghou Ling helplessly tapped the yes text, in the next second his vision went blank and after some seconds reappeared back into the empire hall right where he stood before he was sent to the wall, he looked behind him and saw Kiara who stared at him cutely, he looked away from her immediately ashamed of himself losing to a female, right now it didn’t matter if he was a finalist, the main question was ‘Did you win?’. The weather was already dark and cloudy vividly meaning that the war ended the day it started. He had to return home since he was exhausted of the 98 Dawns war which was actually a day war. For some time in the wall of tempest he was already having the mind of becoming next Emperor but unfortunately it all turned out to be false. Standing on the position for more than a minute he finally turned back and decided to go home.
