Chapter 7 – Assigned
The next Dawn came along easily, Ghou jumped off his bed and freshened up. After a long time, Ghou was fully dressed up with the uniform and ready to leave, he immediately stepped out of the house with his hairs packed upward and instantly closed the door.
....
“Ah, Ghou always the first to arrive.” Kiara praised sipping a cup of tea while sitting on her majestic bed, staring at Ghou who sat on an armchair with a smiling face
“Hehe, it’s actually isn’t my-”
Knock! Knock!
A loud knock interrupted Ghou and the next thing was the door pushed open allowing Cheng, Ying and Silas to enter the room.
“How do you guys always walk in together.” Ghou brows knitted upon seeing the three of them, this was two times that something similar to this happened and it looked all suspicious
“What if the three of us are neighbors.” Cheng instantly replied with narrow eyes
“Well, when last I checked you lived in the streets pickpocketing for a living.” Ghou retorted eyeing Cheng whose facial expression instantly got angered
“Well, have I ever pick-”
“Okay it was a mere coincidence so we shouldn’t fight before the empress.” Ying retorted to Cheng and Ghou with a faint brow. She turned toward Kiara and bowed avoiding eye contact with her dark eyes.
Ghou and the other two boys immediately bowed after seeing the cold glare Kiara gave towards them.
“I thought you all won’t stop fighting, in fact the only cool person here is Silas.” Kiara’s voice echoed staring at them. Silas face instantly replied with a warm smile which instantly disappeared from his face not long after.
“Thank you, Empress Kiara.” Silas first speech in the room sounded soft and thin almost resembling that of a female. Ghou eyes widened and a laugh almost erupted from his mouth but he instantly seized it leaving a small smile on his face
“Oh okay.” Kiara voice was a complete replica of shock, her eyebrows were shot towards the ceiling hearing the almost feminine voice of Silas whose face already flushed red “Well, you all are resuming today so first and foremost you’ll need a complete armor and weapon.”
Kiara jumped up from the bed and walked to the door, she instantly opened it and walked out while the others followed behind.
Creak!
Kiara pushed a pebbled stone on the wall which suddenly began to part into two revealing a webbed room which were filled with different sword and armor of golden colors, everyone excluding Kiara exclaimed with amazement due to the magnificent sight
“Soo, just pick your weapon and then you’ll be ready.” Kiara backed away allowing them to come into the room
“Wow, so cool.” Cheng exclaimed while his jaw dropped on the ground with his hand caressing all the weapon
“Whoa, I love this gauntlet and this whip blade.” Ying muttered holding a thick metal gauntlet which looked more like a small shield attached to a gauntlet. On her right hand was a long whip which had all parts of its body covered with spikes except from the black handles “I’m going to take these.”
Everyone gradually picked their various accessories according to their likings. Silas who was silent the whole time picked a complete body armor and a large sword while Cheng settled for a complete set of body armor, a pair of metallic claw-gloves and a small combat knife.
Ghou on the other hand made sure to carry a complete armor costume since he was fully aware about his guarding location and how fragile he was going to be, he settled with a fitted horned helmet, a complete body armor ordained with spikes, a long silver-rapier sword and a special fire gauntlet which could support him with his fire element.
“Soo, I can see that you all are ready so why don’t the guards escorts you to your various post.” Kiara explained with a breathy voice as she walked across the pathway toward the great Hall.
After some time they finally got to the hall where some guards arranged, they all bow instantly after seeing the empress walk toward them, within seconds they stood upright staring directly into her eyes while some into that of the new guards
“Guards, take these four to their various post in order.”
The guards instantly divided themselves into four section with five guards in each section.
****
Ghou walked modestly behind the five guards who lead the way for him toward the southern wall gate. He made sure to walk as best as he could in order to impress the citizens along the pathway who stared at him with total dumbstruck since they were unaware of the trouble the wall was facing.
After some time, they finally arrived at a tall brick wall which situated far from the main empire, the guards slowly opened a thick metallic door which was attached to the wall by twining a hard wheel which served as a lock. As the door opened, the bright brown sand of the ground came into view, Ghou and the guards instantly stepped in while he glued his eyes to the tall waves which continuously raised and fell on each other
“Cool.” Ghou muttered since was the first time he was seeing an ocean
“There is nothing cool about this place.” One of the guard who assisted the others in shutting the gate quivered with a dry voice. Ghou ignored the words of the guard and turned to the sea
“What is that.” Ghou stared at a figure which began to float on the water, he ran closer to the shore to see a woman who seemed to have been floating lifelessly on the water just about 20 meters away from the shore
“There is a woman in the river.” Ghou alerted the guards who turned their gaze upon him at once, they hastily walk closer to Ghou and finally saw the woman who laid on the water, her face were pale while her ash black hair displaced itself
“Run, run away quickly.” One of the guards screamed as the others ran rapidly far away from the shore leaving Ghou dumbfounded with their action
“You stupid…” Ghou turned around towards the guards throwing curses and pointing fingers at them as the silver-rapier on his scabbard jingled. Though his words were cut short by a loud roar which sprang up from the sea.
Chapter 8 – Beasts and monsters Ghou immediately turned his head backward to see a large gray shark which was diving vastly toward him“Heaven’s flame.” Ghou muttered and instantly jumped to the opposite direction successfully dodging the attack of the shark which had its rough spiky teeth to the ground. The shark began to flap it claw-like tails realizing that it was stuck.“Ahh, my goodness.” Ghou instantly stood up from the ground and ran to the other guards who were shivering at the sight. “That’s a diseased shark right.” The guards tilted their head toward Ghou and nodded, the shark violently began to twine it head from the ground and successfully removed it therefore landing on the ground creating a loud thud, it body began to jump up and down on the sand to the water where it zoomed off“Oh, okay then, I’ll just stand here and wait.”“I do not think there is any time to wait, look.” One of the guards pointed toward the sea were an army of strange alligators swam vastly
Chapter 9 – Death and Vessel Silas turned his head back to the bear which was running in a fast pace toward him, he lifted his hand to the air realizing that the bear was too close for him to attack. The bear instantly lifted into the air making it impossible for it to advance any further. Silas pressed him palm into a ball while the bear movable joints bent into strange positions with loud cracking sound, he stood up from the ground with his hand still fixed in the air while making a direct eye contact with the bear. Silas instantly spread out his hand like he was calling for a hug while the bear widened it body with a loud roar.Silas brows fuzzed with narrow eyes, he raised his hand further into the air and with a sudden movement began to swing it from the left to right. Meanwhile, the bear began to bang recklessly on the sand which sudden got red of blood. He heaved a sigh of relief and finally released his hand leaving the bear to crash on the ground. Silas who wa
Chapter 10 – Discovery “No, look behind you.” Xia, who reluctantly looked behind was instantly stunned to see Peng standing on the ground with a face plastered with confusion “Bro….. Brother Peng.” Xia jumped on her feet as she ran to Pengfei pulling him into an embrace “I thought I’d lost you.” Xia’s voice shivered as she tried to stop herself from crying “No….. No, I… I will never leave you.” Pengfei voice was completely blur as he tried to understand the paranormal activity that happened “Ghou?, what… what’s this, why am I here.” He instantly pulled out of the embrace and sat on the damaged chair of the room trying to recall what had happened before his death, especially how and why he could find himself in Ghou’s home “Ehn.. Emm… you and Xia came to my doorstep pleading for my forgiveness…..” “Forgiveness, for what.” Pengfei jumped up from the chair with a facing drowned in awe “Pleading?, why were we pleading.” “Ehn, but

Chapter 12 : Monster Manual : Aboleth“You could start now.” Kiara repeated her words with a bright smile that compelled the others to rise on their feet “We definitely can’t say no, so it’s is yes.” Cheng blundered with a sharp smile. Silas on the other hand turned to Cheng with a death glare as it wasn’t in his interest to join the hunt, but he was a sheep bent to oblige to all their words since he was too embarrassed of his voice to muster a word. After all, if things were to get out of hands, he had the simplest solution by abandoning the project “Okay, good. I think we’ll start with the Aboleth today and continue with the others tomorrow. And please note that your ability is no stranger to the illusion, so it’ll cause harm to the children meanwhile the creatures can’t hurt you.” Kiara briefly explained already making her way to the wide opened door of the room. ----“So it all going to begin here.” Kiara invited the group into a huge dark hall which held different small
Chapter 13 – Monster Manual : Trogen“Ghou, time for you to demonstrate what you’ve got.” Ghou stood alone in the room as he patiently waited for the transformation of the room“I’m waiting,” Ghou shouted out to the room as the transformation seemed to be taking longer than the others. After waiting for what seemed to be five minutes, the room glitched into the sunny forest before it immediately transformed into a dark room.“I think they are Mana exhausted, you know, it isn’t easy creating these realistic illusions.” Kiara interrupted the fading silence of the room as she watched the room glitch continuously. “Anyways, I think this will be all for now, tomorrow will be another day.”“I didn’t even fight the monster.” Ghou said with a frown still staring at the pillar-filled room“Well, it is not my fault. The others are already gone.”“What about the book, the one from my… deceased parents.” Ghou reminded Kiara who ran out of the hall, into the throne room where she picked the
Chapter 14 – Maybe A Drop Of Blood After some hours, the teams were finally done crazing with the Trogen that was a Challenge for Ying, and lot more easier for Silas who blood-bent the creature until death. The huge door of hall finally closed as the illusionists who were mana exhausted came with a conclusion to put a stop to the daily training with the illusions.“Wait…. But why, don’t I pay you enough.” Kiara cursed at the four men who stared quietly to the ground, without a response to her words “Don’t keep me quite.”“We’re sorry empress Mihou, but we are going to slump dead to the ground one day if we are to continue with the illusion.” One of the men bravely answered, staring face to face at Kiara whose face revealed pure anger “And…. And, we’re always mana exhausted after a single fight with one of them.” The man pointed out to Ghou and the other three who stood vogue behind Kiara with a blank face “Yet, we go beyond our limits, just for them.”“Well… But
Chapter 15 – The Grasping Thread(Readers should please use their imagination for the postures which are going to be mentioned below since they will be easy to understand. Your imaginations is not limited and please grammar mistakes are not absent in this book)“Whoa, this must be fancy.” Ghou jaggedly scrolled through the book until he eventually landed on the required page. The book gave Ghou a stun as it revealed pictures of what the ability was going to be, when in effect.“So, first step will be to…” Ghou interrupted his statement with a frown, seeing that meditation was the first step to cross through, followed by a variety of different postures which were drawn on the book, and finally the thirteen sub-headings which taught in detail on how to make the ability effective. Ghou, being an impatient individual skipped the beginning process, going straight to the point of the book.“Okay.” Ghou who already stood on the ground glanced at the first step wh
