2023-02-13 19:48:24In another world called Etterra, in the middle of summer, somewhere in a kingdom called Twilight Kingdom, a mansion designed in medieval era owned by Count Cross was busy preparing, as the missus was going into labour expecting their first born child.
A moment later, a cry of a baby is to be heard in the halls of the mansion.
“Congratulations count and countess, it’s a healthy baby boy.” said old maid servant of the house assisting in delivering the baby.
The mother and father of the baby let a sigh of relief hearing the baby delivery is successful without any complications. The woman is very happy at the moment although she is very tired.
“Thank you, Amanda for giving birth to our first child” said the man with short auburn hair in who is in his late 20s.
The woman named Amanda nodded with a sweet smile while tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks. Amanda asks the maid servant to hold her baby, calming him down and put him to sleep.
“We need a good name for our first son, Malcom how about naming him ‘Adrian’? What do you think?” Amanda asked her husband.
“Adrian is a perfect name, Adrian Cross is his name. It seems you have been working hard for us while I was working. Thank you, Amanda for the lovely name of our first son.” Malcom leans in and give the woman a kiss. Both of them keep gazing at the baby with warmth in their eyes.
A week past in a blink of an eye, baby Adrian is still in a weak condition but Amanda keep him well feed and clean with the help of the servants while holding him most of the time. Although Malcom had work to manage the county, he still comes and visit them from time to time.
In a quiet night after 8th day of being born, in a baby coot next to his parents’ bed, baby Adrian opened his eyes. The baby tries to move but he was wrap in blanket, he then tries to speak but a soft “guu…” came out. He unable to move and speak.
“What is going on? I died right? How am I still alive? What happen?” questions keep popping out from the baby’s thoughts. He was overwhelmed with confusion & sorrow, the baby instinct starts to kick in.
“WAAAAAA………” the loudest baby cry was heard in the mansion that night waking up and shocking everyone on the estate.
The couple who is sleeping soundly spang up from bed, the man’s body start to be covered by strange energy then whisper “equipped” and a beautiful gold silver sword start to manifest while the mother manifests the energy to her legs and reach the baby coot in a blink of an eye, grabbing her baby who was still crying.
After turning the light on scanning the surroundings, the couple clam down and retract their mana proceeding on calming the baby down.
“What’s wrong Adrian? Are you hungry?” Amanda loosens her nightgown a little to feed her baby
“What is this? So soft… thirsty” the baby thought not aware of the surroundings because he felt depressed and feel into deep sleep in the woman’s comfort.
“That was the loudest cry he let out after his birth 8 days ago. I call a doctor tomorrow to do a check on him in something wrong. I go outside to calm the servants down.” Malcom said feeling a bit puzzled by tonight’s events.
Amanda nodded and keep feeding the baby until he is satisfied then tuck him in the baby coot. She went to bed after her husband came back.
It’s the afternoon, the baby in his coot has his eyes wide open staring at his mother and his father trying to make funny faces. To the baby those faces are annoying. He scrunches his baby face in disgust.
Park Jae Sung scan through the man and woman to get their facial details. The man looks like in his late 20s. He had short auburn hair, sharp facial features and a stubble beard.
The woman on the other hand, looks like she in her teens but Park Jae Sung knows she must be in the early 20s or higher. She had beautiful pale skin along with perfect features complimenting her silver blond hair.
“Darling can you please stop, he’s expression telling me he doesn’t like it” Amanda warned her husband
“I thought kids like funny faces, should we call the doctor back?” Malcom said in confusion.
“Fufu… no need for that. Maybe our Adrian don’t like funny faces” Amanda responds letting a small chuckle not daring calling her loved one funny face look ugly.
The baby, free from his blanket wrap, keep failing his arms and legs while looking at the man and woman.
“It seems like I, Park Jae Sung got reincarnated in a new family. These two must be my parents. I have always thought only by going forward you can finally find my peaceful life but truthfully, I always wish for a redo. To be with the one I cared about one more time.” The baby thought while thinking about his family in his past life.
The baby suddenly cry letting our streams of tears, the couple became a bit panicked.
“What’s the matter my baby boy, are you still hungry? Or your father funny faces give you nightmares?” Amanda lifted up the baby into her arms trying to calm Adrian down while throwing a harsh remark to his husband.
“Okay, okay. Clam down Adrian, I’m sorry. I won’t make…. Wait a minute” puzzled and awkward expression is shown on Malcom’s face hearing that remark.
Baby Park Jae Sung, begin to calmed down a bit when the woman lifted him up. He grips the woman’s dress hard and heard the conversation between the two. Staring at the two he saw a visage of his parents and made him recall his memories.
“So, this is my ‘parents’ now. My name now is Adrian. Park Jae Sung work hard but still failed. I have a second chance as Adrian now. I have will carry on my experience as Park Jae Sung to Adrian so I won’t experience failure again. Thank you Park Jae Sung, for everything you have done for us. Let’s move forward together in this new life so there is no more disappointment and atone our regrets. We are Park Jae Sung and we are Adrian.” Adrian made a vow while hiccups and tears stream down his face.
Seeing their son calm down, they let out a sigh of relief. Amanda loosens her dress to feed her baby.
“D*mn it, a huge challenge from a get go.” Adrian struggle try to avoid it but Amanda brings him close to her.
Unable to do anything, he steels himself and…
“IM A BABY THIS IS NORMAL, IM A BABY THIS IS NORMAL…” Adrian thought
Those thought become a sutra for him to overcome the challenge as a baby with the mentality of a 25 year old virgin.
Soon Adrian fell asleep. Showing a cute and serene expression.
“Whew… He sure cries a lot. I have to teach him in the future on how to be a man.” Malcom sigh
“He’s a baby right now. They supposed to cry. It is better having a crying baby than a quiet baby. That means our baby is very healthy.” Amanda responds with a big smile on her face while caressing her son’s head.
When Malcom heard this, he calmed down while showing a soft smile. He did not know on how to be a father because his late father very rarely saw him. He thanked the gods for blessing him with an angel like Amanda. Pausing his thought,
“Do my funny face really give kids nightmares?” Malcom asks curiously
“You should make those faces in front of the mirror first darling but I still love you.” Amanda answer after a slight pause. She gives her husband a kiss on the cheek then walks away letting out a giggle.
