“I really don’t know Sir. Is this about the testimony? Have I done something wrong? I just thought that it might be unfair and ungrateful if I played a blind eye to Alan saving us at the gym center.”

Officer Andreas’ patience was frayed, his nostrils flared as his anger rose like a tide. “Get me the statement now!”

Willock’s hands shook as he dipped his hand into his pocket before offering the paper, his fingers quivering with the weight of dread.

“You are so dull after all,” Officer Andreas spoke. “You really wrote the testimony before coming here, haha. Is that how you think it’s done.”

Officer Andreas received the paper and with a burst of dread, he dipped the paper into his mouth and started chewing it, each bite transferring a wave of tension through Willock’s spine.
