CHAPTER 108

“Oh, alright then,” Alan responded with a calm smile on his face. “I was just checking in to make sure that everything is okay.”

It was obvious that he didn’t want anyone to know about the conversation that he was having with his son but that was more than enough confirmation for Alan that the boy needed saving.

He had a flurry of desperate thoughts run through his mind as he wondered by the man claimed to be his father and yet was so harsh to the young boy.

Alan was going to a meeting with a few of his staff but it was difficult for him to not see how it was going to end. He wanted to know what was going to become of the boy and what his father was really going to do to him. The boy seemed to be in danger and who knows if he was his guardian angel at least for that day.

A few minutes later, the train groaned to a halt and exhaled a breath of steam, its brakes screeching against the metallic rails.
