CHAPTER 189

The clubhouse erupted into a frenzied stampede of terror that clung to the breath of everyone present.

Alan, while keeping his head down darted around in tension to locate where the gunshot was coming from.

“Just keep your head low okay?” Alan encouraged as they navigated their way out of the clubhouse together. “That must be Grady. He came for you like I told you the other time.”

While engulfed in the tension and with his eyebrows creased with terror, Gregory spoke, his words tumbling over each other in haste. “But why is he after all of us? To be honest, I heard about the assassination of the other guys but the depression just made me while away time here. I thought that if I spent enough time here, he couldn't come looking for me here.”

Alan hurried past the other occupants who were screaming in terror and also trying to find their way out of the hall. He was a protective shadow on Gregory as he shielded him from being seen.
