CHAPTER 200

Alan whispered. “Yeah, I think so.”

Alan then pushed the window frame open after skillfully applying pressure to the edges until it gave way. He then held the window net in a way that it wasn't going to land on the bare ground and create a sound.

When the net rested, Alan’s senses were attuned to the slightest of disturbances and his movements were as deliberate as a panther on the hunt as he crept through the window.

Chester followed from behind after Alan had cautioned him not to make any sounds.

They had entered through the kitchen windows and crept through the room until Sharapova’s pleading voice became more audible.

“I swear I am telling the truth. If I knew where Chester is, I would tell you.”

“I don’t know where he is. The only thing I want is my baby, she doesn't deserve this.”

Alan recognized the voice and discovered that it wasn't Grady. Many questions were going on in his mind but there wasn't much time left for answers - he had to act quickly.
