Bookworm Club members are helping to unload the cardboard from Darren's pickup truck. Inside there are many books for sale on the day of the book fair tomorrow. These cardboard boxes are not lightweight. Especially the cardboard with red tape that the inside contains a hardcover book. The Bookworm Club has unity. It didn't take long for them to put all those boxes down in the storage room behind the library building.
"Phew! It's finally done." Simon sat in a corner of a storage room full of cardboard boxes. He used the back of his hand to wipe the sweat on his forehead. He had to rest for a moment.
Simon Smith is a skinny man. Leftover light brown haircut on a slim oval face and blue eyes like crystal. Overall, he was quite handsome and charming. Even though his figure looks weak If compared to other young men in college. He was a rather strong and tough man than his appearance.
He is one of the regular members of the bookworm club. On the other hand, many people tend to rely on him. He was fond of reading and interested in writing. Sometimes people see him as a leader in times of need. He dreams of one day becoming a novelist following in his mother's footsteps.
"I can't believe that tomorrow we have to sell all these books," Darren said.
Darren Garcia is a handsome young tall man with red short hair, He is ginger. His eyes are black on his round face is covered with many freckles. He's easygoing and approachable. He is a fanatic of comics and fantasy novels. Plus, he also likes to listen to glitch-hop music.
He is the advisor of the bookworm club. He is also Simon's roommate and best friend. The first time they met each other, they thought it was strange. But when Simon started talking about fantasy novels. They became close and got along quickly, they are fanatics of fantasy as well.
"Well...that's Caroline's idea. Our duty is: we must quickly sell them all. At least some of the profits returned to the club are still good." Simon said.
"Har-har. It's a not-so-cool idea. I don't think people in college like to read books that much. Besides people from our club."
"You're right. Most people these days spend more time on social media than picking up a book to read. In any case, we have to sell it anyway."
"But how?"
"Mhm...Do we make good promotions?"
"Interesting! But I'm not Em or Carol. I'm just a consultant and I don't think that two girls would agree with that idea. You must not forget that our club has to spend a lot of money on these books. If bringing those first-hand books to do promotions. We will be cursed by them." Darren explains the consequences of doing something arbitrarily.
Simon sighed. "I agree with you. So what if we can't sell books?"
"If it was Emily's style, she'd have put those books on the library's bookshelf. But if it was Caroline's style, she'd force us to open the book booth for a few weeks. Hahaha." Darren said jokingly.
"oh my God! I can't see our hope at all. Haha." Simon giggles.
"Let's try to unpack one box, shall we?" Darren offers a prank idea.
"Huh?! I think it's a very bad idea. If Em or Carol finds out, we'll be messed up!" Simon disagrees. He thought that the club president and the club vice president would not like this. If they unpack some only the box before tomorrow.
"Come on, dude. We still have to unpack it anyway. We just unpack some boxes first."
"Are you thinking of breaking the rules?!"
"Hmm...No one sees it, it means we haven't broken the rules."
"But I see!"
"So you pretend to be ignorant. hehe," Darren still insisted on opening the box. His curiosity glands were still active.
Simon holds his temples with a nervous expression. "Damn! Why do I have to come across something like this?"
"Alright, let's just randomly unpack!" Darren picked up a utility knife on the table next to him to cut the tape over one of the boxes.
"Wait a minute! I haven't told you to do that yet!" Simon quickly stopped his friend.
"Don't worry. We have red tape already. Hehe," Darren pointed his thumb at the table where he took the utility knife. There was red roll tape. Although its color is only close to the tape on the box. But he believed that no one would notice.
Simon sighed again. "I'm jinxed!" He murmured to himself.
Darren successfully unpacked the box. When he opened the box, he found that there was cushioning foam inside. He took it out and found that each book was sealed tightly in a plastic envelope. Most of the books in the box are novels sold at bookstores, some books are knowledge books but are still in stock until the next time event. He guessed that this entire box must be all literature category books. Simon could not believe that this guy was extremely stubborn, If caught, ears would be numb for several days.
"Whoa! We've hit the jackpot, my friend!" Darren took out some books and examined them.
"Don't unpack the plastic seal, Darren!" Simon quickly stopped his friend from doing something stupid.
"I know that. Don't worry. I just want to see what novels are there."
He took the book out and put it on the table. He brought almost all of them out. But then he was halted when he saw the last book at the bottom of the box. This book does not have a plastic seal like other books. It's a heavy purple hardcover book. Its thickness was probably more than four hundred pages and its condition looks aged. The book's cover was filled with golden strange letters and some kind of weird drawing art that he had never seen before.
"What book is this?" Darren doubts.
Simon walked over and asked his friend for a book. Darren handed it to him without saying anything.
"Hmm... looks like it's some sort of textbook," Simon said while he examined the book.
"I've never seen a textbook like this before. Plus it has some weird characters I don't even know."
"The letters looked like runic symbols."
"Could this be an ancient Viking textbook?"
"Hmm...I don't think so."
Suddenly, something they hadn't expected happened. Those strange characters entered the process of transformation. The letters melted into dust before they morphed together again into letters. This time it became an English alphabet. Eventually, it became like a normal book on a shelf or in a library.
"What the heck! Can you see that, Darren?!" Simon was shocked to see what had happened in front of him.
"Y-Yep! Did I see it mistakenly?" He was as shocked as his friend.
"How did those ancient characters turn into English?!"
"I don't know, my friend! Wait...The Order of Universe? What is this book?"
"Written by Morphioz Kothalus, The First Man of the All Beyond Universe. Who gave such a weird name?"
"It could be...it could be a fantasy novel of some freak writer."
"Are you sure?"
"I...I'm just guessing. I don't know like you!"
They looked at each other with doubtful eyes in their heads. This mysterious book is no ordinary. They don't even know the where source, or who ordered this book. There was no address on the front of the box with the recipient's name, but how could it be that it was delivered here or in Darren's pickup truck. In the most ridiculous case, someone is pranking them. But surely no insane person would write such a thick book specifically for this event. They stared curiously at the book while it was still in Simon's hand. The name of the author of this book is as bizarre as it is not from today's generation of people and they believed that this was not an ancient name. Not only that, The title after the author's name is also fantasy as if the writer was obsessed with the imaginary world. Curiosity mixed with surprise continued to pour into their minds non-stop.Simon opened the first page of the book. It was a white page with a single sentence written all over it: To the far-reaching light
All club members gathered in the video media room at the library. Many young people from freshmen to seniors are invited to attend tomorrow's preparatory meeting. The presentation slides are already showing on the projector screen. This work they must do to their fullest. The result must be perfect. This event must attract people from colleges and outsiders to pay attention to this activity.Simon and Darren enter the meeting room. They found that the other members were waiting for an opening meeting from their club president. Caroline is preparing a presentation. Her expression was serious and of course, she was wearing her favorite pair of eyeglasses. They thought that this meeting must have been intense for many hours. On the other side of the room, Emily is talking to the members about the three people in charge of organizing the book booth. Her expression was as serious as Caroline's. Even though her position is only vice president. Her job is to keep order. The main duties are mo
The Temple of Time in Fifteen-Niverse floats above the galaxy sky on a beautiful Earth planet. There is infinite time here that does not affect the world's time or history. It is the place where the Time Watchers must guard the portal. The obsidian gate door engulfed in glowing green portal light stood in the marble temple hall. The architecture here was completely different from human civilization. The statues in the corners of the hall serve as memorials to the founder. Half-human, half-animal creatures, or perhaps more like giants, held an hourglass in their hands. The only thing is the pillars of the hall that look like the architecture of the Roman era of man. Along the wall is a green banner flag underneath the watcher's emblem, golden hourglass insignia.Josh sat near the portal gate. His face seems unhappy, looking at the image of his girlfriend, Lauren, in his vision of himself. He missed her so much. Being a Time Watcher meant erasing himself from history timeline. He didn't
In Alex's dream, he came to a mysterious place. It was a place he had never seen before in his life. The gray field looks exactly like a desert stretches as far as the eye can see. Strange shape mountains that resemble gigantic monster teeth stretching towards the horizon like an enclosing wall. The rainbow colored northern lights glittering in the sky sway along the peculiar those mountain. Beyond the dark purple sky is covered with millions of stellar. The cold wind blew from the mountain defile pass that he could feel that it was like the breath of something living unknown. There is nothing life but emptiness here.He had never dreamed of seeing anything that was this fantasy before. Usually, he dreams that he is going on a date with a girl he likes or driving a luxury sports car on the streets. Sometimes he would dream of Mr. Kovac, his imaginary friend, They tend to party hard in their dreams and bring some random girls at home. But this time, it was beyond imagination than the fa
Alex opened his eyes and woke up in shock. He found himself back in his room. There were no more people who looked like him or that mysterious place. There was only the ceiling of the room and the morning sun shining through the window. He sat up and examined his body to see if it was normal. No traces of stabbing. It was the worst and most confusing dream he had ever dreamed of. He probably couldn't say that it was a nightmare."What kind of heck dream did I have last night?!"He scratched his head in suspicion and did not understand what he saw in the dream. There were so many questions in his mind that he couldn't sort them out and ponder each one at this time. What Ivan in the dream said remains a mystery. Everything happened so fast. On the other hand, he remembered every detail deeply. He thought that maybe he was watching a movie or playing a game too much.Alex Dawson is a slender man. Tanned, muscular, and square-faced with dark brown eyes typical of the handsome man of any gi
Ryan and The Invader had long disappeared many minutes. Josh realized that he had not finished sending a signal for help to The Divine because he had been interrupted by battling with the invader, so he raised the ring to continue."O-ring...Contactum Divinum." He commands the ring. The result was that the ring glowed and flickered for several minutes, but there was no audible or visual response in his field of vision. It means that for some reason unable to communicate with The Divine."FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! What the hell happened?! Where have they gone?!" He muttered anxiously.Josh calmed himself and tried to think of what he should do next. "I need to do something quickly! First, contact The Time Patrol Team as Ryan said. But if that guy comes into our Niverse, does that mean they're being played? I hope some of them still survive....""O-ring...Contactum Temporis Circuitus Quadrigis."The results remain the same. The ring still hasn't responded. No one survived this attack."O-fuck...
After a tedious history class. Alex walks out of the room in annoyance. He hates being present in front of the class. He had to present the history of Rome in half an hour. Moreover, Mr. Kim gave his gaze as if trying to catch the mistake. Fortunately, he had some knowledge of the period of Rome. Whether it's from a manga or a video game. Those things allowed him to survive and make him speak and present without any problems. He's still silly with Penelope for opening war with him. He must find a way to get her back somehow. His friend walked towards him standing in the corner of the hallway. They have been friends since the seventh grade. They are always going anywhere. Their relationship falls under the category of close friends. They all belong to the fighter club now, the reason is probably because of the opportunity to show off the girls in a teenage style. But they never gave up on the sport they loved. They have been involved in many tournaments. After every victory, they would
During the day, the cafeteria is crowded with people. Usually, they don't come here very often. They mostly go to a restaurant off campus, or a café, or somewhere around campus. But don't know what inspired them to come here today."Oh my god! The row is crazy long!" Ivan said with surprise when he saw many people in the row."I think we should go to Sweet Chill Café," Ryan suggested."I agree with, Ryan. I don't want to wait for that much," Alex said."Come on, bro. I think we will eat lunch here once in a while. Wait for a minute, it won't hurt. Besides, we don't have afternoon classes either." Ivan said with his friends."This guy is so chill!" Josh said."Sometimes waiting isn't always a bad thing," Ivan said."I don't want to wait! I am hungry!" Ryan said."Whatever you say, Ivan. But I think we should find food elsewhere." Alex recommended."I want to eat here. Change the atmosphere a bit, dumbass!" Ivan insisted on staying at the cafeteria."Why do you want to eat here?" Josh as
