When the gain outweighs the loss, it's is natural that anybody would go for it even if it's dangerous; That was Ethan's case.

If he decided to stay at the SafeZone although the time, he would end up losing more than he could imagine, if the 48-hours deadline elapse he would be faced with a death penalty.

Ethan cautiously entered the new compartment, when he looked behind him the only thing he saw was darkness and when he looked around him there was only the same darkness.

'I can barely see the walls, Why is it so dark in here, come to think of it. It was the same back then, system can you explain a little bit about the behavior of this dungeon.'

[It's a different dimension from earth and it operates on it's own rules, all dimension has their separate nature rules just like the existence of night and day on earth]

After the small explanation, he finally understood how this dungeon operate.

He would only be able to see in this dark place if the dweller discovers his presence.

Speaking of the devil, the place began to brighten up slowly and before he could stray his eyes he spotted several creatures like the black lizard he fought earlier, however they were taller and much in number.

Ethan held his dagger and observed the movement of these reptile-type monster, first was the Lizard made, they had small gemstone worn on their ears, it looked just like tha magic stones he saw earlier, they held small crooked sticks that was twisted in the end facing him.

The other was taller and they had fatter hands and most held crude stone weapons forged from hard rocks.

There was seven lizard mage and fourteen black lizard warrior.

The look on their face wasn't friendly, it carried a sharp killing intent which combined with their otherworldly appearance gave them an eerie vibe.

Shriek~

The tallest lizard mage shrieked loudly, it's shriek aroused the fighting spirit of the others and they immediately started fighting.

Three lizard mage faced each other and moved their hands in weird pattern, as they did so a small fire ball the size of a bead appeared and it kept growing on the hand of one of the lizard mage while the others casted more to make it grow.

'Their casting time is long, that would give me the advantage of time over the others.' Ethan let out in his mind.

Once the first lizard warrior draw closer, he sent a lower sweep towards it and pierced it's chest with his dagger.

Immediately the lizard warrior died and turned to dark smokes, and a small magic stone formed on the spot it died.

Ethan evaded an attack from another lizard warrior by moving his head westward, then he used his other hand to grab the hands or the lizard warrior holding it's weapon.

He held it tightly and flung it toward the group of lizard mages conjuring their spells.

The lizard warrior clashed with it's fellow lizards, the four of them were sent flying to the ground and their spell disappeared.

Ethan used this chance to fight more freely as he wasn't scared of the fire balls exploding against his body.

He slayed seven lizard warriors under thirty minutes and left most of them in a wounded state, his dagger slashed through the air at an amazing pace.

His feet left the ground most of the time as he killed more of the lizard warriors.

The feeling of slicing these monsters and earning money from it made him even stronger.

Soon, he was done taking down the lizard warriors.

In the reptile-type monsters battle plan, the lizard warriors were supposed to use their close combat skills to buy time for the mages to conjur spells to deal with him.

However, now that there was no one to guide them, the lizard mage took on their heels and started running towards the compartment they came from.

This time it was lit, Ethan chased behind them.

'If I could use magic attacks, a long range spell would have done the job.' Ethan thought as he chased against these monsters cautiously.

He noticed that this part of this dungeon was different from the others, it has more lighting and at the far end there was a large figure that looked a sculpture.

Once he saw that figure, he stopped on his tracks.

This one was taller, even taller than Ethan and it wore a thick armour that covereds it's shoulder and a part of his legs.

The other parts of his body was left bare.

It stood up straight and glared at Ethan.

The seven lizard mages stood beside this figure and gloated at the human in their presence.

Soon the floor of the dungeon started to vibrate vigorously, it was so intense that he almost lost balance.

Ethan gritted his teeth at this condition there is no way he would be able to fight the lizard warrior king, however he wouldn't give up so easily.

"Come at me!" Ethan said with a smirk on his face.

The lizard warrior king felt the challenge coming from the human, it's eyes glowed and it charged toward Ethan.

Brandishing the steel sword that leaned on the wall.

It was at least two times faster than all the monsters that Ethan has faced before ever since.

The steel sword was held over the head of the lizard warrior king.

It sent it downward toward the human, Ethan moved backward using the walls as a support for balance.

The warrior followed with more slashes and he dodged them without exhausting himself too much.

He tossed his dagger at the head of one of the lizard mage killing it.

He did so while escaping the the attacks tossed at him by the dungeon boss.

He rolled on the ground towards his dagger and grabbed it tightly.

Ethan red the message but most of his focus was on the lizard king.

After thirty minutes, all the skills used the lizard king was over.

This time Ethan was able to follow the pattern of his attacks and used it to his advantage.

He used the Tripple Pierce skill twice on the lizard.

When his skills deactivated the wizard king became really weak for thirty seconds and he used that thirty seconds to his advantage.

Ethan stood at a corner of the room, panting heavily.

'Oh boy,. this lizard king is a big pain in the ass, after more than half an hour, I'm still unable to deal a major blow to take his life and my dagger durability is fading, it would be destroyed if it keeps hitting that think armor, I can buy from the system shop later but before then I need to reach level 5.'

The lizard king stood close to his mages.

The HP bar of the lizard king was going up by one Hp each three seconds.

"You can't heal here, my friend." Ethan used the small rocks to his advantage, he used them as a disposable weapon to wound the mages and the lizard king to disrupt their harmony, that way stopping the healing process from continuing.

After ten minutes, the lizard king HP was down to 5/100 and the lizard mages has turned to black smokes and disappeared.

The lizard king sat on the ground, his body was unable to wield the sword any longer.

Ethan heaved a long sigh of relief and darted his dagger towards it's chest, killing it immediately.

Ethan looked at the numerous system prompt appearing midair.

He rushed to collect all the loots, including the one from the second compartment which he left while chasing the lizard mages.

He exchanged the magic stones and earned $3,800, the E rank magic stone is exchanged at the rate of a thousand dollar.

He earned $4,300 dollar from magic stones and an additional $10,000 as a mission reward, altogether he made $14,300 which was more than 2 years salary.

He kept the dagger, random box and the Lizard King fang in the inventory, then he confirmed to exit the dungeon.
