07. Hotteok

Last night's nightmare came back to haunt me. I met someone so unfamiliar. But strangely, on the one hand, I felt familiar with her. Especially when she showed me her beautiful face. A beautiful, mature woman, radiating a graceful, elegant aura. I felt like I had met her before.

Forget about that silly dream; what's more important is the breakfast menu this morning. Instant noodles or white bread again? I'm already bored with both. So I decided to go out for breakfast.

After cleaning myself up, I got ready to go out for breakfast. Also to meet that strange girl named Nakamori.

That strange girl with a beautiful oriental face was making me a little annoyed. But strangely, I felt like I had a sense of attraction to her that was hard to explain in words. Even stranger, that girl has an aura exactly like a debt collector. I felt like if I got close to her, I'd be like a debtor being chased by a creditor.

Thirty pieces of Gimpap Chamci had been stuffed into my stomach. But still, I felt hungry. How horrible! Am I suffering from chronic worms? Urgh, if that's true, I should probably stop by the nearest pharmacy to buy some dewormers.

While I was still busy worrying about my hunger, which didn't subside, my smartphone vibrated. Without needing to look at the notification from the sophisticated object, I already knew that it was the girl calling me. I knew it with my sharp intuition.

"You're ignoring my calls as well as my messages," Nakamori grumbled as she shot me a glare.

Hmm. I guessed that the call must have been from him. My intuition wasn't wrong.

"Even if I picked up your call, you'd only be nagging me. So obviously I don't need to answer it, right?" I quipped lazily.

Rain poured a glass of whiskey into Judas' face. Seeing the face of the man from West Asia made him a little angry. There was a lot of resentment she had instilled in him.

"You're too stubborn. What do you expect here? Those two are long dead. Stop acting up; you shouldn't try any harder," Judas snapped.

"Shut your mouth! You're the same way yourself. What don't you realize you're doing so badly?" raged Rain. She looked very angry.

"I'm honestly also surprised to find myself in another place so badly. As you said, I believe that elsewhere I killed Mr. Vatic. But if you blame it on me living in this place, it's the same as accusing me of a bad deed that I didn't do at all. I can't do anything about it. I don't feel like I've done anything wrong in your life. We are two different people," Judas defended.

"Still, you're the same person!" cried Rain in disgust.

Judas frowned; his current situation was very difficult. There were too many problems to digest. First, a strange man with a beautiful face he didn't recognize appeared, accusing him of killing Mr. Vatic, who was his teacher. Secondly, the man was very stubborn and seemed to be telling him to confess to a mistake that he felt he had not made in his current place. Judas did not know that he was elsewhere, in another world, or another dimension, having killed his teacher, Mr. Vatic.

Rain tied Judas' body to the wooden chair with a very strong rope.

"I've told Mr. Vatic everything. If Mr. Vatic comes, you are safe. But if not, you know the answer." Rain turned to leave Judas.

***

"Did he say it like that to you?" Judas looked hopeful.

Mr. Vatic shook his head. "That person you're talking about never met me at all. I feel that you are just being set up by him." Mr. Vatic did not remember or know the man named Rain.

Judas was shocked; he couldn't believe it. He pondered for a moment, trying to figure out the peculiarities of Rain's behavior. After all, the man was very strange and mysterious. I don't know where he came from, but suddenly the man took the law into his own hands.

Mr. Vatic became worried as Judas seemed to be trying hard to think about the matter.

Nakamori looked at me very sharply, like he was demanding me. Uncomfortable with his behavior, I immediately rebuked him.

"Is this what you're going to do to me after acting as you please?"

Nakamori laughed mockingly. It seemed like he was never satisfied with putting me down.

"I was even willing to take my time to meet you today. But look, you didn't keep your promise for some nonsensical reason. Didn't you promise me today to talk about meeting that strange man too?" I protested.

"I contacted that strange man last night, but he told me he couldn't meet today." "I have no intention of discussing the matter if the person I want doesn't come," Nakamori replied indifferently.

"Then you don't have to tell me to come see you. I want to rest today, too," I said quickly.

"You talk like an important person. You must just be an unemployed person who's overreacting. Don't be so time-consuming; just act like an important person," the girl sarcastically said.

Hearing those sarcastic words automatically made me pray for the girl to get karma quickly. Sure enough, it didn't take long before the girl got her karma.

When Nakamori wasn't watching her step, she tripped and hit a small child walking in front of her.

"Urgh ....." The child winced in pain.

"Graiss, are you okay?" The boy beside him hurriedly helped him.

"Are you alright?" I also became a little panicked over the fallen child. I tried to check on the little girl's condition.

"You should pay attention to the road, Miss! It's because of you that my sister fell!" the boy exclaimed angrily.

Nakamori sneered, and she looked at the boy with a dismissive look. "You're the one who should be watching out for your brother. Don't blame me all you want." Nakamori didn't want to give in.

I'm dizzy with the current situation. Nakamori was acting like a child. Despite feeling tired, I was at least grateful that the girl wasn't hurt at all.

"She's not hurt in the slightest. But I feel bad for you two. By the way, would you like me to buy you some hotteok?" I offered sincerely. I had no intention of messing with those two kids.

"Why buy them food? They're at fault! You don't spoil brats." Nakamori glared to show that she didn't like what I was doing.

I ignored Nakamori. Then he left the girl and took the two little kids away to buy hotteok.

"I don't think you should bother buying us hotteok anyway; we can't stay out too long," Graiss said.

"Just for a little while. I promise it won't take long. After buying the hotteok, if you want, I can take you two home. I don't think it's safe to let kids like you wander around on a big street like this." I couldn't bear the thought of those two little kids.

"What about this hassel?" Graiss looked doubtfully at Hassel.

Hassel smiled steadily. She patted her twin sister on the shoulder, trying to calm her down. "It's alright. She doesn't seem evil at all. Come on, just accept her kindness; she seems sincere." Hassel did not seem to hesitate at all.

Seeing her twin sister so trusting made Hassel unable to move. The girl finally said yes and followed her twin sister's opinion.

"What do you mean you came here after getting angry earlier?" I smiled mockingly.

The Japanese girl, Nakamori, was holding a hotteok in her hand. She looked embarrassed but tried to cover it up. Of course, her behavior managed to provoke my lizard side to quiver.

"I came here by chance; I was hungry. It also happened that I wanted to eat sweets. There are no sweets for sale around here, so I came here. The hotteok must not be very good anyway." Nakamori tried to make excuses.

"Really. Well, if you don't like it, I'll eat it." I took a small bite of the hotteok. I was just trying to pretend, but the tempting scent of the hotteok made me bite into the pancake.

"What are you doing?" Nakamori hurriedly pulled the pancake away from me.

Unconsciously, a smile appeared on my lips, which were filled with hotteok crumbs.

"Why are you smiling, huh?" Nakamori was getting angry. He kicked my calf but was quickly blocked by Hassel.

"Miss Fierce, if you don't like this brother, you should just leave." Hassel shooed her away.

"Sshht. Hassel, I don't think you should talk like that," Graiss whispered to her twin sister.

"I'm just trying to defend Big Brother. Would you like to see this good brother get bullied all the time by a fierce gorilla?" Hassel gave Nakamori a sharp look.

"I don't know where you were first taught manners. But take a look at your horrible self. You're still a kid, but you have such a bad mouth for giving other people manners," Nakamori said, hiding his anger.
