“What is that matter, my son? What balance does it say?” She asked.

Alexander groaned and looked at the elderly lady.

“It says that your account balance is forty-two thousand dollars, Aunty…” he said, paused, then continued “…and that’s strange.”

She gulped.

“Strange? How my son?” She chuckled nervously.

“First of all, you said you wanted to withdraw fifty thousand dollars for your granddaughter and here it says you are eight thousand dollars short, but considering that it’s your account, you should have known that if you took the time to think about it”

“What are you trying to say, my son?”

Alexander was very smart, so he was coming to a conclusion using all the information he had gotten so far and was also taking account of human psychology.

“It means that when your granddaughter made the request you didn’t have time to think and just came to the bank to get it, which means the request was an urgent one and then there was your behavior when I told you what the balance was.”
