“I know it’s a question that seems like it’s coming out of nowhere, but if you’re willing to indulge me, how much do you think you would need to go back to running this place the way you want?” Alexander asked.

Vicky jolted and almost gasped.

Never in a million years did she expect to hear those words from Alexander’s mouth.

Not only had he gone out of his way to do something good for the orphanage by bringing back the missing Timmy, but here he was trying to top that by asking a question that hinted at him wanting to offer something as marvelous as a donation.

Vicky gulped, sneaking a glance at the expensive sports car parked behind Alexander and realizing that what he just said wasn’t a bunch of empty words.

“The amount of money we were used to receiving as donations was adequate to keep the place running, so if you can give us that or something close to it, then I’m sure that we can make do with—“
