Stanley furrowed his eyebrows. He interlocked his fingers, took them to his chin, and then pointed at the duffle bag.

“So that large bag, you’re saying it’s filled with—“ he asked, but was cut short.

“With betting chips, that’s right” Alexander replied.

Stanley looked at the dealer with a face that asked the man if what Alexander had just said was true and the dealer, who had no doubts after rubbing his palms around the bag and feeling the lumps caused by a cluster of betting chips, nodded.

Stanley grunted and then looked at his three friends, and they didn’t have to say anything to communicate their thoughts.

He looked back at Alexander and asked “And how much exactly is in there?”

Alexander shrugged then stepped forward, tapping the dealer on the shoulder and gesturing that he should move aside.

“Sure thing sir,” The dealer said, dropping the one thousand dollar betting chip back into the duffle bag and stepping away from the table so that Alexander could return to where he was or
