48: Kenneth Betrayed Me!

“Ha. Ha. The moron is still asRobinp.” The grim voice floated from a distance away into Jackson’s ears.

Stirring in his sRobinp, a sharp pain shot through his forehead like a dagger tearing at his skull. He blinked his eyes open with a groan.

He was seated in a poorly lighted room, with two voices muffling to each other near the door.

Jackson grabbed his head with a groan. Where the hell was he?

He’d been drinking with his colleagues last night, and was dared to a drinking competition by his closest pal at work, Kenneth.

Jackson recalled he was announced as the winner, but he couldn’t recall how he got into this room nor how he came to sit on a chair.

“Is everything set? We have to get rid of him completely.” The grim voice came again.

“Of course,” his partner laughed. “I can’t afford to mess this up, I really need that new car.”

Jackson sat up immediately, recognizing one of the voices. It was Kenneth, and some other colleague at work, Robin. What were they doing here?
