49: You Are Guilty!

In the interrogation room, Jackson sat opposite a tall bearly officer with grey sunken eyes and a very gruff voice, Tim Hawkins.

“I’m asking you for the last time, what is the motive behind your crime? Why did you molest a 17 year old, stabbing her with a table knife?” Tim asked again, slamming his fists on the table along for emphasis.

“Table knife?” Jackson scoffed. “Was my fingerprint also on that, like every other thing you guys have investigated?”

“You bastard! Answer my question!”

Jackson glanced at the sweaty officer up and down, anger brewing in his mind. No matter how much he tried to explain what really happened, the man insisted that he was guilty.

He was beginning to think he committed those crimes himself.

“Are you deaf?” Tim growled in anger. “You don’t want me to employ other methods, do you?” He grabbed Jackson’s collar violently.

His colleagues standing outside the room quickly rushed in. “What’s wrong, Officer Tim?” They tried to stop him.
