I looked as the doctor walked closer to us. " Talk to me doctor, how is she?" I asked seeing the look on his face.

" I would like to speak to a family member." He said again with a concerned look. Thomas looked at me as I sweat profusely. I cleaned my face with my hands, looking at the man in a white jacket before me. " I just signed the document for her surgery, didn't I? That should give me at least some privilege to know whatever is going on." I replied almost looking at my coolness.

" Can you walk with me?" Doctor Stefan said gently placing a hand on my shoulder. " Is she dead?" I stammered looking at him

" No, in fact, the surgery was a success and she is resting." Doc. Stefan replied.

I felt relieved and looked at Thomas who smiled too. " But.." I looked back at the Doctor's face at the mention of a "But."

" But what Doctor Stefan? You just said the surgery was a success just now. What are you trying to say?" I asked looking at h
