FEDERICK'S POV

Everything was going to fast that I wanted it all to slow down for a bit.

There are phases in life and right now, the phase in my life seems to fast that I need it to slow down one bit. Damian was sent out of the university and the evil twins were gone along with them.

I can't find out more about Damain if he was gone. I needed to know what part he played in the accident.

I need to know if Damain was indeed a twin and I can't do that if he is not in campus.

Mandy was useless to me. She had no ideas about who Damian was and she hasn't even been to his house.

To me, that was cheap.

I remembered when we dated. I would ask her over to my hostel even though it was cheap and cozy. We would hang out for sometime before she goes back.

My eyes scanned the university filed where alot of students were seated and gisting. They all felt at peace without being scared of anyone telling them what to do.

" Hy Fred."

Each of the students would greet like I was some kind of demi-

GARRY'S POV I looked at Fred and still didn't know where he was getting the self assurance for. I looked at him and smirked. Damian was not someone he could go after. Yes, he was rich but I doubt he knew how far a person like Damain was willing to go. I took a step backward and sat down. I leaned back against the bench, arms crossed, staring at Frederick. He was persistent, I had to give him that. But what he didn’t know was that he wasn’t the only one with questions about Damian. “I won’t lie to you, Fred,” I said, sighing. “I’ve had my suspicions about Damian being a twin, but I’ve never been able to confirm it.” Frederick’s eyes widened slightly, his fingers tapping against his knee as he waited for me to continue. “You’re not the only one who has a reason to hate him,” I muttered, my jaw tightening. “My sister, Gina… she’s dead because of him.” Frederick stiffened, his gently look momentarily replaced by curiosity. “What do you mean?” I swallowed hard, pushing back

FEDERICK'S POVI looked at Garry and I knew exactly what Dean Harper was going to say. I knew Damian was coming back into the institution and I need to be ready if I was going to move forward with the system mission. " I know you are are wondering what is going on." Dean Harper said slowly, his gaze landing on each of the students as if trying to pry on our inner thoughts. There was a slight murmuring among the students and then my eyes fell on Damain, Ethan and Aiden who had a bit of a smirk on their faces. " After much deliberation, the board has spoken. We would like to revoke Damian's sanction. It is clear that what he did was not intentional. We are going to be taking strict measure from now on against any insubordination. I woud like to say a bit sorry to Damain and on behalf of the entire boards we say a deep sorry to Ethan, Aiden and Damain." All the students watched in disdain as Dean Harper bowed his heads to the ground. For a moment I felt my stomach churned and I knew

FEDERICK'S POV "We have a deal." I said immediately, my eyes landing on Damoan. "Talk to me, Garry. Do you have any proof that we can use to nail this son of a gun?" I asked anxiously. "I was going to ask you that. The accident – do you have a recording of it?" Garry asked. "No, but I have someone who might have it. The person disappeared recently and was found dead." I replied. "I don't think I need to tell you who is capable of doing that. But the question that keeps popping into my mind is how he does it. How can he be at two places at a time?" Garry looked at me. I remembered I had to visit Marcus at the gym house. I was starting my training lesson today. "During the prom night. Something weird happened." Garry shifted his gaze from the chattering students, and it slowly landed on me. "What happened was the fact that Damian knocked out Mr Harper, which he is now in the clear for." "Not that Garry. Do you feel anything when you are fighting Damian?" I asked, staring at him.

FEDERICK'S POV I looked at Marcus's face and saw how serious he looked. "What is going on, Marcus?" Talk to me." "I think I know where she hid the flash drive." Marcus said, his gaze meeting mine. "You know?" My breath hitched in my throat. I looked at him and wondered why we were wasting time when we could head toward her house. "Why are we wasting time then?" I asked, staring at Marcus. He could see that I was eager to leave the gym house. "You need to slow down, Fred. The game is changing. I don't think we are dealing with only Damain here." Marcus said with a cautious look. I was surprised to hear what he was saying, and also I wonder how he knew what exactly I was thinking. "Do you have any proof?" I asked, staring at him, my hand akimbo. "I don't need to have any proof. My gut is telling me that Damian has something to hide. If it is true that he ran Georgia over, then I think he is hiding more than what we are thinking. He is not just a regular guy to me." Marcus finall

RAYMOND'S POV I sat down in front of my boys. My eyes scanned Dully's face like I was trying to see into the depths of his soul. I knew Damian was the type that never had the audacity to hit Mr. Harper, but somehow one of them did it. The rules were simple; my rule was simple. Don't leave the house. No one must know you both are twins. "Start explaining before I lose my shit!" I shouted, and both of them shivered in fear. I don't want them to like me; I don't care about them. It does not matter as long as I am able to foot their expensive lifestyle, which Damian enjoys, by the way. "I even heard you use the money I saved, right?" I glanced at Damian, who had his head bent down. "Tell me, Damain, what did you use the money for?! Or should I have said, What did you use my money for?" There was a long and suffocating silence in the room.I had flown all the way from Singapore to attend to the situation. I was at my desk when my PA told me Damian was to be rusticated by Mr. Harper.

DULLY’S POVDamain should have mopped the damn floor clean. There was nothing he could do right. It was sickening to have to do everything for him. Try to save him and even defend him in front of Father. It was exhausting. Our father crouched down, his sharp eyes narrowing at the stain of red stain against the marble. The moment he touched it and lifted his fingers, his face darkened. He didn’t even need to say anything. We already knew what he was going to ask.“Whose blood is this?” His voice was eerily calm, but that was the most dangerous kind of anger.I didn’t move. I didn’t flinch. I just stared at Damian, waiting for him to say something. It was his mess, after all. And yet, I knew how this worked—how we worked. If I didn’t step in, my father’s wrath would burn through both of us.Damian swallowed hard. He must have realised how stupid he had been, leaving evidence behind. “It’s from the fight,” he finally said. “With Freddie,” he said again, and I smirked. Another lie, bu

FEDERICK'S POV I stared at my phone each time like my life depended on it. One thing was clear. I was going to be free of the fact that I made Georgia crippled. If only I could know who actually did it then I won't have to bother about what people say right behind my backs. They still call me names and Damian still have a hold over me. No one would want to date or get engaged with me or Campus without talking about my last date with Georgia. And to make matter worse, we were not dating each other again. Marcus had told me he was going to call me exactly in the night. This was 9:00pm and still he hasn't called. My mind skipped a bit. I don't know what he was thinking or maybe he developed a cold feet or changed his mind? I was doing a lot of thinking, I know Marcus has promised to stand by me through the thick and think but then, tortures or suprise attacks could make anyone change their words. I was about texting him when my phone vibrated. [ DING! ] i felt my palms go sweaty

Frederick’s POVThe room had fallen into a tense silence. Marcus and I barely had a moment to react before two figures stepped out of the shadows, their faces hidden by total darkness. My heart pounded in my chest as I tried to assess the situation.“Who the hell are they?” I whispered to Marcus, my throat dry.Marcus shifted slightly, lowering his stance. “I am not sure but whoever they are, they don't look friendly,” he murmured. One of the figures, took a step forward. He gave a low chuckle that sent a chill down my spine. “Well, well, Marcus,” the man said, his voice dripping with amusement. “We meet again.”Marcus stiffened beside me. “You again,” he muttered. I looked between them, confusion swirling in my mind. “You know him?”Marcus clenched his fists. “We’ve fought before. Never got to settle it. But I think fate is giving more the opportunity to do that tonight and trust me, you are not leaving here in one piece." Dully grinned, his eyes gleaming with an unsettling excite

FEDERICK'S POV Georgia stood frozen, the weight of our revelation sinking in. Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out. The idea that Damian might have a twin—someone who had been working in the shadows, causing chaos—was too insane to digest at once. Finally, she whispered, “A twin… Why would no one know about that? All this while, are you saying Damian has successfully fooled everyone?"Yes," I replied. “Because they’ve been careful,” Garry said, stepping beside me. “They’ve been playing the game for years, switching places, covering for each other, manipulating everything from teachers to students. And now—Fred nearly died because of it.”“We nearly died,” I corrected him sharply. “I don't know why none of the students saw into this, or maybe they just didn't want to."Georgia turned toward me. “You mentioned a woman… The one who had the video. Are you saying she died because of that?”I nodded, jaw clenched. “She was going to leak the footage. It showed more than just the

FREDERICK'S POV I looked at both Garry and Georgia. I could see that they were scared. Not that Georgia was here but by the fact that we both were healed. "What did you do?" Garry asked again. "Can we forget about that for now and concentrate on what is on the ground? The new kid at school. Have you seen his face?" I looked at Garry. "I told you I am working on it with Marcus." Garry replied, looking at my legs. "Knock it off, man. You need to stop this." I said, walking away from him. I could see Georgia beaming with a smile. I knew she was grateful and happy, but still, she wanted to know how I made it happen. The system hasn't sent a congratulatory message to me. I was actually expecting that and waiting for my next mission. I can't wait to show the students that I was back on my feet. "Sasha. Do you know anything about her?" I turned my gaze to meet Garry. "Sasha? What about her?" Garry stepped closer towards me. "Do you think she has something to do with Damian? She as

FEDERICK'S POV I don't know how I was supposed to feel about walking again. The thought of having to share the process with someone who was a cripple too was uncalled for, but it was what the system wanted. I looked at the wall clock, which doesn't seem to slow down, right in front of me. I have called Georgia for the fifth time, and she was not picking up my calls. What do I do?The thought of accepting my fate as a cripple gnawed at me. I picked up my phone and called Georgia's number again, and it kept ringing without being picked. I felt scared for her. What if Damian got to her? Or is it Richard? I was not sure of what to think anymore. I called Garry's line. "Can you get down here, dude? I need your help." I said firmly over the call. "Give me thirty minutes." Garry said back. I looked at the clock. "Thirty minutes? I don't have much time, Garry. If you don't want to get here and see my corpse, I suggest that you start coming now." "Fine, I will be on my way.

  • Chapter seventy seven

FEDERICK'S POV I got back home tired, exhausted and worn out. Trust me, it wasn't from fatigue or school exercise but from the fact that I was having a troubled mind. I couldn't stop thinking about what Sasha wanted to tell me, and it had been months since I got a mission from the system. It was like it never reached out to me in the first place. Like it never existed. I looked at my legs, which were now getting thinner from the fact that I had not been able to walk with them. I looked around the house and sighed. My life was a mess. A mess that needs to be cleaned up. I pulled myself out of the wheels and sat on the sofa chair. My mind went back to how it started. Maybe I shouldn't have pressed Yes on the system. Then I might still have my legs. Mandy will be gone, but then I would have gotten over her, and I was sure Damian must have moved on and forgotten I even existed. I let out a tiring sigh once again. Georgia. She won't also be in the mess she was, and she won'

FEDERICK'S POV "Let's give it up for Fred the crippled!" Damian shouted, and everyone shifted their attention towards me. At first they were all quiet, but then Aiden and Ethan stood up. That was when I knew I was in for the greatest torment of all time. Damain, Ethan, Aiden and even Mandy are all in my class. It was almost like the end of the world for me. "Oh, sweety, are you surprised?" Mandy said in a sweet tone, her handling draped over Damian's shoulders. I wanted to talk, but I couldn't just find the right word. "Gar, get your tongue? I thought you were all about saving your previous girlfriend." Mandy jested again. "Guess we should have school for the handicapped." Damian taunted, and all the students laughed at the thought of having a handicap institution. I wanted to fight back, but then I did not have the energy to. I was drained of power the moment I fell off the cliff. I said nothing but simply wheeled myself into the classroom.Ethan grabbed my chair and slammed

FEDERICK'S POV "What should I do?" Georgia looked at me. "Why are you asking me that, Georgia? You know just what to do." I said back at her, not feeling any kind of pity. "Do you even know what Damian cost the both of us?" I asked, staring at her face. "Do you know what I had to go through to get to where I am today? But you don't care, do you?" I said with anger. "Of course, I care. That is why I am here." Georgia replied. " You are only here because you are scared that I sent the message. Tell me, Georgia, do you really love me, or was it just the contract that binds us together?" The room was tense at that moment. She looked at me, and for a moment, I could feel a kind of bond between us. "Yes, I do, Fred. It just can't work between us." Georgia said again. "Why? What are you hiding from me? Are you scared of what Richard might do to you? If there is something I need to know, then you are free to tell me." I said again. Georgia looked at her feet and back at me.

DULLY’S POVThe night wind wasn’t as cool anymore—it felt bitter, sharp, like the edge of a blade pressed against the skin. I walked away from Damian without looking back, my fists clenched tightly at my sides. My heart was pounding—not from fear, but from a rage I had kept buried for far too long. For years, I’d lived under his shadow.Damian—charming, brilliant, manipulative Damian. The golden boy. The heir. The one Father whispered about during meeting s, the one Mother cried for when things went wrong. And me? I was the ghost. The fixer. The secret.I had no name outside the circle. Just "the other one." The shadow fighter. The one who did the dirty work. The one who bled behind closed doors while Damian played the perfect son in the light. And now, he dared to tell me I belonged in that darkness?I lit another cigar, letting the fire kiss the tip with a spark. My mind drifted to Fred again. Yes, he had seen me. Yes, Georgia too. That was a mistake—one I intended to fix. But the

Damain's pov The night was a bit chilly. Everything was going the way I wanted. Even Richard can do nothing to stop me and Fred, I was sure by now he had learnt who the boss is. I laid down on the carpet grass staring into the night. I was a bit tensed knowing fully well that Sergeant James won't stop trying to know how Fred had falling. But then, my father had men in higher places who can stop him with just a phone call. My mind drifted back to Dully. We had a deal before he did what I asked of him. He hasn't tell me what he wanted from me but I know Dully was sometimes unreasonable. " Enjoying the night breeze?" I hard a voice which looked almost like mine and I turned slightly to catch his gaze locked on me. " Yeah, the night breeze is cool. You should stay." I replied smacking a side on the carpet grass beside me. " You did a nice job, Dully. I don't think Fred will ever be away to walk and if he had escaped the fall then I would say he is one lucky bastard." The atmos

GEORGIA'S POV "I know you saw who did it!" The message dropped on my phone, and my heart rang like hell. I could feel my damp palms slowly begin to sweat. I looked around to see who texted me, but all the students gazes were fixed on their phones. Who messaged me? Who saw what happened on the roof aside from me, Fred and Damian? Was this some kind of trick Fred was pulling to make me spill? To make me tell the truth. " You can either tell the truth, or I make your life miserable. Your choice." The message was now threatening; I couldn't focus, and I knew I needed to go and see Fred at the hospital. That was the only way to clear my conscience.I wheeled myself towards the car park and asked one of the drivers to drive me down to the hospital. My mind raced like hell. Hoping and praying that Fred gave me a listening ear. I was seated frozen in front of the gigantic hospital, my face pale and my heartbeat thundering in my ears like a warning bell.
