Mark couldn't bring himself to commend Laura for striking the deal but he unwillingly submitted to his grandmother's decision.

"You're right grandmother. Laura…I will give you the full respect you deserve onwards," Mark said, using every nerve he got in his body to hide his unhappiness and disappointment.

He put on an eased look and forced a smile at Laura, seeming to become well-behaved and calm. But secretly, Mark despised Laura for her guts and he became determined to undermine her future at all cost.

He swore not to let her go above him and stand on his head for he was the future heir to the family's business; the favorite grandson.

"That's better," Ma'am Miguel said, rising up. "Now this meeting has come to an end."
