CHAPTER 5

Minmin’s Point of View

We are currently eating our lunch today. The ship has an elegant room for workers who wants to eat. The ship we’re riding is full of several parcels arriving at different destinations. Captain Axle is here with us, joining our lunch.

He introduced himself genuinely. He’s a pure Filipino and finished BS in Maritime Transportation. He also took a training and fortunately, he passed it and applied to be a seaman overseas.

He’s fluent in many languages since it’s part of his job.

“Jun, how did you become fluent in Spanish?” I abruptly asked and their conversation was evaded.

“Are you inquisitive because Axle and I conversed in Spanish earlier?” He asked smilingly. I nodded as a sign of my answer.

“Well basically, Axle and I are schoolmates. He’s older than me---”

“Just a few years only!” Captain Axle interfered.

“Fine. We’re almost at the same age. We went to the same school and became friends because of our mutual friends and little did I know he will become one of my truest friends. To answer your question, I studied International Studies but I didn’t finish it. Learning different cultures and languages is part of our course.” He replied. 

“You know what bro; you can recapitulate it” Axle persuaded. Jun seems discouraged and blue because of the subject.

“No. I am happy where am I and to those with me” Jun looked on us and we did the same. He grinned slightly.

Jun is younger than me but he’s mind is fully matured. He’s capable of the leader position in our group. He’s a goalkeeper, knowledgeable and selfless person. He always thinks of the group first before himself. He kept his plans correct and thinks about it carefully before he does a move.

“Captain Axle, we’re now in our first destination” I came back to reality when the captain’s assistant suddenly meddled.

“Oh great. Shall we go guys?” The captain asked and everyone stood. I almost didn’t finish my food since I’m full. I saw there is a sandwich on the table and I brought it.

We get out of the ship and a fresh wind surrounded us. We have arrived at Jomalig Island.

The community is delighted when they saw us getting out of the ship. I don’t know what’s happening.

We began walking towards the barangay hall and the noise became louder as we reached the place.

Captain Axle proceeded to the stage and the crew gave him a microphone.

“Magandang araw po! Nagbabalik po ako sa lugar na ito upang magbahagi uli ng mumunting donasyon para sa isa’t-isa. Hinihiling ko po na makatulong ito sa araw-araw niyong pangangailangan”

“Good day! I am back here to share with all of you my little donations. I am hoping this helps you to your everyday needs” Said Axle. Everyone became excited as soon as they heard the word donation. He went downstairs and the boxes full of donations were opened.

An Eco bag has canned goods, noodles, necessities, and other important things. Also, Captain Axle brought packed rice for everyone to complete the combination.

Giving donations has started. Everyone in the community is teary-eyed and felicitous because of the new blessing. These donations might be little for somebody but for them, it was a big help.

Charlie, Simon, Jun, and Kyle sprang helping Captain Axle and they looked happy for doing it. Satisfaction is obvious on Jun’s face because of his extensive simper.

Britney, Laine, Joy, and Kaye commenced helping too. I get a bag and distribute it. 

“Salamat po, Kuya”

“Thank you,” A mother said to me and she smirked that made my heart melt. We’re now helping Axle distributing the boxes full of donations and I noticed that everyone looks malnourished. The children look hungry and they are eager because of the foods we brought.

“Maraming salamat sir dahil naaalala mo pa rin kami! Utang na loob namin sa inyo ang mga biyayang ito! May makakain na po kami ngayon!” 

“Thank you so much sir because you remembered us. We owe to you these blessings! We have a meal to eat today!” said an old woman.

“Walang anuman po. Masaya po akong nakakatulong sa inyo. Babalik po uli ako at mas dadamihan ko po ang mga pagkain”

“You’re welcome. I am happy to help everyone. I will come back next time and bring a lot of food and stuff!”

Captain Axle replied. I don’t know why I beamed. I think it feels good about helping others either both small or big things.

I saw a child eating dirty food. I immediately get it away from him and give him the bread in my pocket.

“Pasensiya ka na bata dahil ‘yan lang meron ako. Hayaan mo kapag nagawa namin ang aming misyon, bibigyan kita ng mas madami”

"I'm sorry kid because that's all I have. Don’t worry, when we successfully did our mission, I will come back here and give you more foods” the child grinned and nodded at me that makes me determined and motivated.

Out of nowhere, poverty became the reason that makes me motivated to continue this journey. If I become rich someday, I would like to help other people also. Realizations are running in my cognizance at this point. There are plenty of impoverished people in our nation. They’re just relying on the donations of the private sectors which is the responsibility of our government. They’re just good when it comes to the election but when they won, they forgot instantly the people who lack help.

For that reason, I like to migrate to a different country that can make my living easier. I want a government that prioritizes their conquest rather than their wants and plans. 

A few hours later, we finished disseminating the donations and we came back to the ship. While we’re living, I can see the faces of them waving their hands on us. Their smile is now etched into my memory.

Kaye’s Point of View

We are currently resting since it’s now at midnight. Everyone is now languishing due to the alcohol we drank earlier. We feasted because of Captain Axle's successful plan.

My roomie is Joy who’s currently sleeping deeply on another bed. She boozed too much and now wasted. If you will going to ask why I’m not sleeping yet is just because I can’t. It’s been a day since we departed and I already miss our country.

Based on Captain Axle, we’re far from Jomalig Island and it means, we aren’t in the Philippines anymore.

I am reading my favorite book now. Thankfully, there is a lampshade in each room. I am in the rising action part when the door abruptly opens. I got deflected from what I am reading and I gawked at the door. It was a little murk in the room and I can’t see the face of the person.

I heard a footstep and it means the person is coming inside the room. I get my phone and opened the flashlight and led to its direction.

When I put the flashlight in front, I found out who enters our room. “What are you doing here?” I asked and switched off the flashlight.

“I can’t sleep” Kyle acknowledged.

“Then go and kill yourself” I retorted sarcastically and lay down to my bed. He sat down on my bed and turned off the lampshade.

“Hey! I am reading my book!” I grumbled but he didn’t listen. I feel his lips smacking my hand and I know what’s the significance of it.

He continued kissing my hand and suck my middle finger. He drank too much earlier as a result of it.

His mouth traveled upward and he reached my neck. “Hey,” I spoke calmly and he stopped what he was doing.

“Joy might be awake,” I said. He gets my hand and pulls it aggressively. I stood up and we get out of the room.

“Where are we going?” I asked him while we are running.

“To the place where no one can disturb us” We entered a room and it’s a comfort room. He opened a dim warm light. It isn't bright to the point you will get dazzled.

He started removing my shirt. I am not wearing a bra since it’s night. After removing my shirt, he engulfed my boobs and he’s massaging the other one. After sucking it, he went to my neck and started to put hickey. When he gets satisfied, he kisses me hard. Since I am a fighter, I fought back to his kiss.

It’s now my turn and I remove his shirt. His great built body was exposed in front of me. He always doing exercises the reason why he achieved six-pack abs.

I started licking his chest and went downwards to his abdominal. I can feel how hard he is.

I touched his manhood and I am right. He’s hard as a rock. I removed his pants including his boxers and started rubbing it. I am kneading it just like a dough.

“Ooooh,” he grunted that make me smirk. After a while, he reached what he was supposed to reach and a white fluid blows up.

“That’s for now,” I said and I put my shirt on. I quickly stood up and started wandering towards the door.

Before I get out, I can still see him panting and I feel like it’s a cliffhanger for him.

“Get dressed and go to sleep” he wears his underwear and pull upward his pants. He gets his shirt from the ground and wipes the white fluid on the floor to remove the evidence.

It’s now in the afternoon and we arrived at our second destination. It’s the Palau Islands. This is part of the country named Oceania. The captain told us to explore since they need to distribute the parcels to their corresponding couriers.

I am with the squad and we’re wandering a city. We have a plan today. We’re going to continue our habits. We will steal the money we can add to our funds.

Oceania is just like a Palawan in the Philippines. It has a white sand beach. I also love nature here and it’s similar to Puerto Princesa.

We entered a beach where there are foreigners. I can’t distinguish if they are just visitors or citizens in this country.

They put their belongings to a table and went to the beach to take a bath. It’s our turn to steal what we want...

Jun gave a sign and it means ‘operation is now started’. Joy, Laine, Britney, and I went in front of the foreigners’ belongings to make a barrier so they can’t show what we are doing. Britney brings out her phone and we had a photo together. It’s a little bit tricky since it needs an acting part.

While we’re having a photo, the guys behind us started stealing the stuff.
