Pregnancy Announcement.
Harrison forced a smile as he slipped into bed beside Quinn. The excitement of being a mother again danced in her eyes.

He longed to share her joy, but a pang hung heavily in his heart. He swallowed hard and pulled her closer, feeling the warmth of her skin against his, yet his mind remained miles away.

When Quinn drifted off to sleep, her hand resting gently on her stomach, Harrison carefully pulled himself out of bed, tiptoeing out of the room and heading to his study.

The moment the door closed behind him, he felt the heaviness of his world crash down. He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms as he paced the room, his eyes darting to the collection of photos that adorned his bookshelf.

He stopped at a picture of Quinn smiling, holding her stomach. She had taken the picture when she was first pregnant.

Pain stabbed his chest, and he looked away, his eyes filling with tears. How could he even think of repeating the same mistake?
