The decision to visit him in prison had been a difficult one, but the need to confront him, to understand his motives, had been too strong to ignore.

She wanted to know what he was up to. She wanted to be clear because the expression he wore on Quinn's birthday seemed like he was backing out of their initial agreement, but now, it seemed like he had something up his sleeves.

The prison was cold and unwelcoming like it was not a place she needed to be.

Yvonne walked through the corridors, her heart racing as she thought of how best to face Jacob.

She had rehearsed what she would say to him, and how confident she would act, but as she sat in the visitor's room, all she had planned to say seemed to have slipped into oblivion, leaving her bare.

Jacob was brought out of his cell, led by a police officer to the room, his hands clasped together, and a smile played on his lips as he looked up at her.

He did not look like how a normal prisoner would look. He was calm like this was his home
