Lunch time after training class,

Several hundred students were eating lunch in the Academy restaurant, which was more like a golden & white - themed banquet hall with a capacity of handling more than a thousand people at a time.

So even after hundreds of students were eating lunch at the same time, the area wasn't cramped at all, and there were still many empty seats left.

But there were just two of us—Sylvia and I—eating our meals at the right-most corner from the entrance, separated from the other numerous students who had taken seats in groups of four or more.

There was an awkward silence between us.

Or perhaps it was more of an awkward silence for me as Sylvia was joyfully chowing down on her meal while smiling smugly and was deep in thought.

I finally asked what was on my mind after finding it impossible to remain silent any longer.
