Memories of The Past

(SUNSHINE CITY BANK)

The same thief was at the bank putting on a shiny designer shirt, and his clown mask. He had a gun in his hand, and another in his pocket, he was packing jewelries into his bag, as the people were all laid down in fear. He yells at them,  

     “You all have lots of cash but do you ever think about we the poor ones? No, you don’t… now I’ll be damn rich and I’ll leave this country. Last night I wasn’t thinking big enough, but now this is it… The right thing I should be doing”.

He was about to leave when he was blown backwards by a sudden wind. 

Miss Awesome (Mary) came in, she was putting on a grey colored outfit, a top with a jacket on it, and a grey trouser as well, but the lower part of the arm and legs were darker, she had a mask on which covered the eye region. Hero came in next also in his dark outfit.

Cops arrived as well and they entered pointing their guns at Hero, Miss Awesome and the thief. 

    “You’re making a mistake; this lady and I are heroes”, Hero said immediately; Bethany grins and yells, “Quiet! You’re all coming with us”

  The thief shot at one of the people there but before the bullet could hit the man, Hero moved so fast that he stopped it with his palm without getting hurt.

The elastic thief stretched towards Hero and punched him with a large hand, then he rolled around Hero like a rope squeezing him. 

Miss Awesome said to Bethany, “see that now… we’re the heroes”. She jumped forward and punched the thief’s face.

The Elastic thief quickly threw Hero outside through the glass, so he tries to punch Miss Awesome twice but she dodged his attacks. 

The thief then stretched his leg to kick her, causing her to fall. 

Bethany shot at him but he wasn’t hurt; so the other cops also opened fire, shooting continually, but the bullets would only push his skin in and bounced off, falling to the ground. 

Hero boosted back into the bank and delivers a super punch which sent him flying backwards. The elastic thief hits his back on the wall, then Hero got right in front of him again and delivered a punch on his face causing his mask to be shattered, and also weakening him. 

Miss Awesome stood up and said to Hero, “Let’s hand him over to the cops”. 

The thief was breathing heavily and he said while he was being taken away, “I’ll be back for you damnit!”.  

He escapes the grip of the cops, but Hero sped towards him and delivers a punch which knocks him out instantly.

He handed him over to Bethany saying, 

    “We’re superheroes, not thieves… call me Hero… and she’s… Miss Awesome”. Bethany smiles and replies, “I’m Officer Bethany Shaw”. 

Hero replies, “Yes, we know that already”.

  “huh, how?”, Bethany asked looking curious, while Hero answered, “from the news, we’ve seen you on TV… alright, we have to go”.

 Miss Awesome clears her throat and added, “and I would advise you cops to get ultrahuman dampeners from Star City to deprive evil ultrahumans like that guy from using their powers, but they don’t work on both of us”. She smiled sheepishly, while she left along with Hero.

 As soon as they were gone, Bethany said to herself, “I know that voice… Miss Awesome’s voice sounds familiar”

(CLIFFORD CITY)

(TYLER’S HOUSE)

     “I’m back for you, Bravo”, the visiting lady spoke.

Tyler gasps, then he replied, “Nina, is this really you?”. She smiled and said, “okay, let me in”.

Tyler and Nina were seated together while she was speaking to him, 

    “We were all running for our lives, but when we got to a spot at which the next thing we could do was to jump into waters, Ray stayed behind and… he’s gone”. Tyler exhales sharply and asked,

     “You saw him die?” 

Nina answers saying, “No, but they got to him, we heard screams… So, tell me how you escaped”. 

Tyler grins and answered, “I used my powers to fight off some of them, and also fled, but I came back to the island later, we found bodies of a lots of people who died, Ray’s body wasn’t found on land and in the waters, the old master prepared me more for my destiny, he said my blood would kill Beast”

Nina asks, “Err… you know what he means right? I met with him before coming here too”

      “He meant that before I can get to kill Beast, I’ll lose a lot in a bloody battle against him, but I’ll survive and kill him” Tyler says, but Nina smirks and replied, 

    “is that what you think? You didn’t even ask for explanations, let’s forget that for now. While you were fighting Dan, I made a bet with that rich huge dude, he survived and I got a million dollar from him… is there something I can help you with”. 

Tyler answers, “I’m sure there will be… maybe not now”. She nodded and continues, “I see you’re a member of a superhero team here now, that’s cool…” 

     “Thanks, I’ll surely need your help,” said Tyler with a smile, “I’m so glad you’re still alive”. 

Nina sighs deeply and replies “So am I, I’ll get another chance to make you love me”. 

Tyler scoffs and replied “Don’t tell me you’ve not been with any guy!”. Nina shakes her head and said, “I’ve dedicated my life to focusing more on fighting with the hope that I would meet you again, not just me actually, I have a group of people I work with, fighters like we were”

(THE NEXT DAY)

Mr. Alfred, Barnes, Shana, Dolph, and Jane were together in their tech facility. Shana sat really close to Dolph whispering some words while Barnes was working on the computer, Mr. Alfred asked as they weren't having a conversation,

     “Jane, where’s Tyler?”. Jane answered saying,

   “Normally, he should be here already but I don’t know why he isn’t, he’s not even picking my calls, I’ve called him a million times now and he didn’t even send a message... I’m kinda getting worried already”. 

Shana scoffs and replies, “Calm down girl, he’ll be here soon, but seriously… has anyone ever thought about the fact that Tyler doesn’t seem to have feelings”. 

Jane said, “I’ll make sure he loves me back”. Dolph smiles and replied, “And then you’ll have a lovely relationship like mine and Shana”. Shana smiles, but it looked like a fake smile; one which Jane noticed then she said,   

    “No… it should be better than yours”. 

Shana replies quickly, “Yes, that’s right, it should be better… always wish for the best” 

Shana stood up saying, “I need to use the rest room”. She left their midst going through a passageway, then Jane asked Barnes who was still busy, “Hey, Hotfoot where’s that thing I asked you for?”. Barnes chuckles and answered, “Well, it’s in the store”. 

Jane replies sharply, “Thank you very much” She also left walking along the passageway while Barnes began to speak to Dolph and Mr. Alfred.

Jane was walking towards the restroom instead and she could hear Shana sobbing softly in there, she knocked and said,    

   “Shana, it’s Jane… can I come in?”. Shana opened the door while Jane entered, Jane gives her a napkin saying, “I noticed you were not happy, what’s the problem?”.

Shana wiped her tears, and answered, “Dolph loves me, but he’s too aggressive, possessive and bossy, he wants me to do whatever he says, and he doesn’t want me to be a superhero, he just wants me to be with him in his house to cook for him, run errands and satisfy his lustful desires”. 

Jane was utterly surprised and she replied, 

    “You should have told me this long ago”. 

Shana shakes her head saying, “I can’t, he’s violent… he almost killed a friend of mine who found out that he mistreats me, and I’m sick of this, is love a crime?”. 

Jane gasps and replied “no, please stop crying, be strong, Shana we have to do something about this… together”

Jane and Shana came back together while Jane was holding a book, she said to Barnes “Thank you very much, Hotfoot”. Barnes replied “Just had to…”. 

 Shana sat with Dolph again and suddenly, the door swung open, and in came Tyler, but with Nina.

The others stared at them, while Tyler said to them all, 

  “Hello everyone, this is my old friend, Nina… Nina, this is the team”.

 Nina was shaking each of them one by one while Jane asked Tyler silently, “So, that’s the Nina?”. Nina walks up to Jane and stretched forth her hand for a shake saying in a low tone, “You must be Jane… please keep this in mind… I love Tyler, and he’s mine”, she chortles.

(DARK WORLD)

It was an endless and dark place with no light, except the red flaming eyes of a huge two horned demon seated on a chair of skulls.

Right in front of him, stood a figure which looked like a young man. Due to the darkness, his face is unseen. The Demon was BEAST; same Beast locked in the Dark World. He said with a deep scary voice, 

     “Now, it is time for you to make her yours, it’ll be a great reunion of friends”. The guy replies, “I’ve been scorned, but you showed me the way, now I will destroy him for our glory”.

 BEAST grins and replied, “the only way you can make her yours is by making her like yourself”. The guy replies again, “And when the time comes, we will be by your side to conquer the world… for your glory” 

   “For my glory”, BEAST’s voice boomed.

(NEW CITY)

(MR. BILLY’S HOUSE)

On a cool morning, Annie and her dad were the only ones at home. Annie was clad in white pajamas which had red dots on it, she was alone in her room shedding tears, and also seated at the corner of her room, she began to remember her experiences as she was wiping her tears with her palm. 

(MEMORIES)

Annie was still 4 years when her mom died, she remembered her mom going into the company she worked one evening. She wanted to get an important file which she left behind, her dad drove her to the company with his car and they Annie and her dad didn’t go into the company’s premises with her mother.

 Immediately her mom went in, the whole company exploded and no one survived, all burned to ashes right in front of Annie and her father.

She remembers how she was bullied in school but Alice and Bella fought for her all the time, she was betrayed by friends, lied to, cheated in many aspects of life and almost deceived by a guy into dating him. But as usual, Alice and Bella helped her.

Annie opens her eyes as she heard a knock on the door of her room, she wiped her tears and said, 

  “The door is open, come in”. 

Her dad came in and asked immediately, “Have you been crying again?”. Annie shakes her sideways while her dad replies “You can’t lie to me, and you know that… you’ve been crying again because of your mom”

(MR MARK EDDIE’S HOUSE)

That evening, Alice, Bella, and Michael were having dinner and he was staring at Alice while he was eating, she looked at him suddenly, so he took his eyes off quickly while Bella chuckles and said, 

     “Michael, you were staring at Alice”. Alice smirks and replies, “Yeah, I caught him”. 

Michael stopped eating and he said, “Huh… she’s pretty, so I just can’t help it”. 

   “hmm, so I’m not pretty?” Bella asked. Michael answers saying, “You are, my eyes are just drawn towards her”. 

  “Because she’s single?”, Bella asked, while Alice said to Michael, “so, your eyes were drawn to me or you were drawn to me…”. Michael sighs while Bella bursts into laughter.

Alice drank water from her cup and drops it while she was staring at him, she said “Every time I see guys, I remember my brother, Axel”. Michael asks looking surprised, “So you have a brother?”. 

Alice then answered, “No, I had a brother, he’s gone now, when I was 9years, he was 4, my mom died, she was killed by a man who later murdered my father the following year, but before that, my mom’s relatives wanted me and my brother to come with them but I said I’m okay with my father. Axel was taken away and he lived with them but they were murdered by that same man who killed my parents,  they turned into ashes just like my parents, my mom possessed superpowers but she was weak when she was fought; very weak, I couldn’t even see my brother’s body, just ashes scattered  everywhere and till this moment, I remember my brother, I wish I had the power to change past events” 

Bella sighs and replies, “it’s fine, if that man is still alive, I promise we’ll rip him apart together”.

 Alice nodded and she was already shedding tears, Michael was just quiet and he had nothing to say while she was cleaning her eyes.

(THAT NIGHT) 

(MR. BILLY’S HOUSE)

Annie was alone at home and she was tuning to different stations on the TV, she dropped the remote as she stopped at a cartoon station, she was on her pajamas, and was eating snacks, when a white light shone out of nowhere right there in the parlor.

A man dressed in a yellow coat came through, while Annie was shielding her eyes with her hands, the light deemed slowly. The man came forward as his eyes shone blue light, Annie stood up in fear and yells, 

  “Who the hell are you?”. 

She picked up her phone and wanted to dial a number then the man replies, “I’m GIFT, one of the greatest beings of the creation, and I’m here to give you what belongs to you”. 

She yelled back, “Get the goddamn fuck out of this place… Now!”. GIFT grins and said, “Annie, or should I say… Scarlet Lady, that is what you will be and to become Scarlet Lady, I will…”. 

  “Quiet!... I’m gonna call my sister now and she’s gonna whoop your ass big time”, she yelled.

 GIFT smiles and replied, “indeed she is powerful, very powerful, more than you can imagine… but if you do not become the Scarlet Lady…” 

Annie’s phone automatically switched off by itself to her surprise

    “… I repeat, if you do not become the Scarlet Lady, your dear sister will die and if she dies, this world and many more worlds will be at risk of chaos and destruction, this is your chance to be able to fight for yourself instead of waiting for Alice and Bella” 

Annie asks in awe, “And how do you even know their names?”, GIFT sniffs and answered, “Because, I am who I am… so, will you accept your destiny or not?”. GIFT came closer towards her, while Annie replies, “If you’re deceiving me just like a lot of people did to me, my sister will destroy you”.  

Without further ado, He touched her forehead and her eyes shone red, then she fell to the ground unconscious, GIFT looked at her and said, “And this is it” He disappeared immediately while she was still there on the ground.

(NEW CITY)

(MR. MARK EDDIE’S HOUSE)

(NEXT MORNING)

Alice slammed the door open as she stormed in looking worried. She saw only Bella, Danny and Michael.

    “I can’t find Annie!”, she yelled, “she’s missing, she’s nowhere and her phone’s in the house…”. Danny asks, “What about her friends?”.

 Alice retorted back sharply, “She’s not with anyone, I have a feeling that she might have been taken by someone”.

 Bella replied “Or she left the city? You know…?”. 

Alice disagreed saying, “No matter how bad she feels, she wouldn’t do that, never… she wouldn't abandon our dad”.

Michael sighs and said, “Calm down, Alice… she could be anywhere”. Danny looks at the computer and yells, “There’s an emergency at a warehouse… arson!”. 

Michael added, “An attack… Bella”.

    “Yes, yes, I’ll go alone, Alice stay here and rest” Bella spoke.

  “No, I’m not, I think I need to punch something, I’m coming with you”, Alice replied.

(THE WAREHOUSE)

Amazing Girl and Devil Girl came in and saw dead gangsters on the ground. It looked like the warehouse must’ve been owned by a goon. Smoke had filled the air. And someone who was definitely a female was blasting the ones who were still alive with a force of energy, red in color.

 Amazing Girl yells, “Hey!” 

They were walking closer to her as she sopped killing them, but they were too weak to run. The lady turned to look at them, and to their greatest surprise, it was Annie, but she had a scary angry look on her face

Her red hair was rough, she was putting on red trouser, red jacket which was on a white singlet, and her eyes shone red as well. 

Amazing Girl and Devil Girl were shocked and Alice gasps,

    “Annie… what happened to you? How is this possible?”. Annie grins evilly and said, “Are you here to stop me? You’ll fail, and do not call me Annie, I’m Scarlet Lady!”.  

Bella yelled back at her, “No. You’re not, you are Annie, Alice’s only sister, my friend… come with us now, this is wrong, it doesn’t matter if it’s gangsters you’re killing but, it’s wrong, they should be jailed instead not murdered, come with us now… we’re gonna figure out what's wrong… together. So just come over here slowly and everything will be fine”

Annie bursts into laughter and replies, “Trying to persuade me with your stupid powers, it won’t work on me... Not anymore!”
