Powers and Threats

Bella said to Alice, 

     “Let me handle this, I can’t let you fight your sister; she has to come with us by force, cause it looks like something is really wrong with her”. 

Alice moved back with tears already in her eyes while Bella went forward and immediately began to shoot frosts of ice at Annie, but Annie’s eyes turns red and speedily dodged the attacks, then sent a circular blast of scarlet energy, Bella quickly made a shield of ice to block but the shield was shattered and she was thrown backwards to the ground. 

She stood up immediately and began to shoot solid and sharp ice daggers at Annie, while Alice yelled at Bella, “Do you wanna kill her?”.

 The Ice daggers stopped moving while Bella then made the daggers fall, Annie chuckles softly and yells, “Don’t hold back, I’ll still kill you both”. Bella immediately made ice balls and hurled it towards Annie; firing them continually, but the latter was breaking the ice balls with punches, which easily shattered it to bits. 

Annie was finally hit twice but this only infuriated her, and then she jumped up and boosted at Bella about to strike her with her fist, but her fist collides with Alice’s who quickly came in the way. 

The collision caused a small wave that pushed everything back; even Bella was thrown backwards without being touched and all the glasses around broke in pieces.

 Alice and Annie also moved back while Annie smiles and said,

    “That’s it, don’t hold back… you’ll die if you do”

(A RESTAURANT)

Mr. Mark Eddie was with a man at the restaurant, both eating and having a conversation. 

Mr. Mark asked, “So, tell me the fate of everyone on our team?”. The man exhales and replied, 

  “it is actually wrong to know of coming events, but I will tell you however I wish to say it, one who is believed to be dead will join you… I won’t tell you the name… one shall die… powers will rise and a threat amongst you as well. Mr. Mark, will you accept death when it comes, after the death of one of you?”. 

Mr. Mark replied, “you know I’m a man who accepts whatever should be… that’s why I come to you, if it’s destined to be, then I’ll definitely die”. 

The man nods and said, “Alice’s worst enemy will be… Doctor Levitate, when that time comes, remember this, death has come to one of you all… I have nothing else to tell you after this…”

   “… but one more warning,” the man continued, “… the death of one of you will cause all the following problems the team will face for a while, you might be dead before they face all of those problems… and you might not… your future is uncertain”, the man smirks.

Amazing Girl and Annie were still inside the warehouse throwing punches at each other, then Annie launches a scarlet force of energy like fire at Amazing Girl which thrusts her backwards causing her to hit her back on the wall. 

She fell to the ground, and there were cracks on the wall. 

Annie’s eyes were red and her hands flaming red fire. She said as she was approaching Amazing Girl, “Now for the final”. She raised her hand and began to control the goods kept in there to move and roll around, Bella was shocked and quickly began to freeze some of it, while also breaking it as afterwards.

Amazing Girl stood up and was blasted with heat vision which came from Annie’s eyes causing Amazing Girl to hit her back on the wall again, Annie sent the objects she was controlling to move to hit her and the wall broke while Amazing Girl was now outside on the floor. Annie turns to look at Devil Girl, but as she tried to shoot ice balls at Annie, Annie sped forward and melted the ice balls with heat vision then she punched her to hit her back on the wall and again screamed at her which made the wall break and Devil Girl weakened on the floor. 

Annie smiles sheepishly as she flew out through the roof leaving everything in absolute disorder.

As she left, Alice stood up slowly and moved inside really fast to get Bella up as well, Bella coughs as she regained her consciousness while Alice said to her, 

     “I swear I’ll find her, and I won’t hold back, I don’t care if she’s my sister or not, I’ll bring her back to her senses with some serious spanking”

Annie was standing right in front before a guy; the one who would have been her boyfriend, and this was in his house.

He looked terrified as her eyes glowed red, with a sinister smile of pleasure on her face. She said,

       “Now, no one’s gonna fight for me, I can fight for myself. I’ll punish you the way I want… this is for everything you’ve done in your life”. 

She was about to blast him with the scarlet energy but Amazing Girl came out of nowhere saving him by striking Annie with a heavy punch that also threw the latter out of the house.

 Alice sighs and said to the guy, “don’t tell anyone about this, please… I’m gonna bring her back to her senses”.

Amazing Girl went out quickly and saw Annie standing few meters away, she went straight to her saying,

   “Whatever made you crazy… I’ll get to the bottom of it and make you sane again”. 

Annie screams at Amazing Girl but she also screamed back and they were both pushed back by their sonic screams. Amazing Girl got up immediately and delivers a super punch while her fist was engulfed in a blue shiny energy; the amazing force as she called it.

Annie hits her back on the wall and groans, she scoffed and exclaims, “Whoa… that’s a big hit, the first one I felt actually”. Amazing Girl grins angrily, then Devil Girl landed out of nowhere. 

Alice said to her as soon as she saw her, “Don’t join us, I’ll end this now”. 

Annie scoffs and began to shoot heat vision from her eyes without stopping while Amazing Girl stretched forth her hand and was blocking it with one palm as she moved forward slowly. 

While doing this, Annie began to send blasts of scarlet force at Amazing Girl, but she kept moving forward, groaning and yelling. It looked like she was absorbing It all, then finally she got right in front of Annie she stopped; Annie was awed.

 Amazing Girl’s eyes were glowing red and blue at the same time.

All the energy transferred to her right arm which was engulfed in energy, then she punched Annie before she could react, causing her to be thrust back while also breaking through a wall.

Amazing Girl looked at herself in surprise, “how did I do that?”, she asked, while Devil Girl came closer to her asking, “What do we do now?”. 

Suddenly, a portal of light appeared shining so bright, then they saw a figure as the light vanished, it was a guy with short white hair, white suit, white trousers, and white shoes. He had almost a perfect look any lady would fall for. He smiled, and even Bella gasps, then he said with a calm voice, 

   “You passed that test, she’ll be fine when she wakes up and she’s gonna tell you everything that happened to her”.

 Amazing Girl grins and yells, “Wait, who are you? Did you do this to her”.  He sighs and answered, saying, 

   “Call me JOHN, don’t try to fight me, I’m way beyond you… but protecting you all from threats you can never imagine. We’ll meet again Alice, Bella… and yes… I didn't; someone else tasked with gifting did this”. 

Light shone all around him and he disappeared just as he came while both of them stared at each other; amazed. 

(MR MARK EDDIE’S HOUSE)

Annie just woke up on a bed and was surrounded by Alice, Bella, Michael and Danny who were all staring at her. She asked holding on to her head, 

      “What’s wrong?”. 

Alice answered, “You have a lot to tell us”. Annie chuckles softly and replies, 

   “about everything that happened?... Scarlet Lady?”. Bella nodded slightly and Annie sighs, “so, will you tell us now?”, Michael asked.

 Annie agreed as she started, “Okay, well… last night, a man appeared to me, he called himself GIFT, he asked me to accept my destiny, it was more like… he came to gift me powers, he called me scarlet lady and also said if I don’t accept it, you will die…” she turned to look at Alice who was quite surprised.

    “… and if Alice dies, then this world will be doomed” Annie finalized, “Alice, you've always saved me… a chance to be the one who saves you sometime later? I’d take it, and you'd be a hero who saves the world too”

Bella scoffs and replied, “Actually, someone who called himself JOHN appeared to us, he even knew our names!” 

Danny exhales,

    “Alright, now we’re all safe and there’s a new team member, I mean new superhero…” he says, but Alice cuts in sharply, 

     “No, no, I won’t let my sister risk her life to fight crime… Bella and I will do that”. 

  “Oh, don’t say that, you know I beat both of you, so there’s no stopping me, Scarlet Lady’s in”, Annie said.

Alice smirks dismissively and replied, “you defeated me only because I was holding back, but when I didn’t, I won”.

     “It’s her decision, let her do it, both of you also did this, so why can’t you let her in?”. Michael questioned Alice, Bella nodded and added, “I kind of agree with Michael. Alice… Annie isn’t a kid anymore, she’s now a lady, stop acting like a young girl”. 

  “Well, I’m still a girl… to everyone”, Alice replied, pointing to herself, and continues speaking.

(BELLA’S HOUSE)

Later at night, Bella had just arrived home, and then as she opened the door, It was dark inside, so she switched on the light and saw a man dressed in black gown from head to toe with a hood, facing the wall. She dropped her bag and asked, 

    “Why are you here… now?”

Seems she was familiar with whoever it was

  “Because I found something”, the man replied with a kind of double voice. Bella exhales sharply like she was tired, and simply replies, 

     “You can’t just come into my house anytime, it’s wrong!”. 

The man sighs and said,

  “Tell me… don’t you wanna avenge your mother’s death anymore?”. 

He turned to her, lo and behold, the man was Wizard Shan; the man who murdered Alice’s parents.

Bella smiles looking furious, and answered, “Yes, father. Tell me… who did it?”.

(SUNSHINE CITY)

(A CAFETERIA)

A guy in his early 20s, he had a brown hair, brushed to one side, his face was wanting of beard, and was putting on a black jacket, with black trousers. He entered having a broad smile on his face, then he saw a guy and lady having an argument while a hooded guy was watching them closely as well. 

The guy who just came in was called by one of the attendants,

     “Kyle, staring at them? I’ve gotten tired of their lame arguments”. 

The hooded guy walked past them, mistakenly hitting the lady, and he quickly apologized, “I’m sorry”, he said. 

He was leaving the restaurant when Kyle yelled, “That guy’s a thief!”. The lady was about to bring out something from her pocket and she was surprised it was empty, everyone was amazed and Kyle rushed outside as soon as could; seeing the pickpocket already walking fast, then he calls out to him, 

     “Hey! Wait up!”. 

The guy turns back and saw Kyle walking towards him then he began to run from Kyle and the chase began as Kyle followed suit.

The guy kept running and pushing people out of the way as he also skillfully jumped over obstacles in his way, but Kyle wasn’t going to relent anytime soon, he continues chasing after the thief till he got to a corner; a silent place where no one was. 

Kyle was now panting heavily, and he stretched forth his hand saying, “Hand it over”. 

The thief smiles and replied, “Not without a fight” 

Kyle sighs and clenched his fist and poses like a professional boxer saying, “Really? I’ll paint your face red”. 

The guy chuckles and sniffles saying “alright, show me what you’ve got”

(MARK’S HOUSE)

Mark was making a call with Bethany as he was smiling broadly, 

     “I can’t wait to take you out tonight, I feel like coming right there to pick you up and have a nice time together” he said.

Bethany giggles and replies over the phone saying, “Oh that’s sweet, I’ll make sure I leave as early as possible… just for you!”

 Mark chuckles and then he heard a knock on the door, so he said to Bethany, “We’ll talk later, I love you babe…”. He hangs up and asked, 

  “Who’s there?... I said who’s there?”. 

Now, he got a reply from a masculine voice, “it’s a friend of yours. Mark, is that you? Please open the door”. 

Mark opened the door, and behold, it was a total stranger to him. Then he asks, “Do I know you?”. 

The stranger replied saying, “No, but I know you… and I’ve come to meet you… I'm Moza”

Kyle yells as he charged towards the pickpocket, about to deliver a punch to his jaw but he blocks his attack and punched Kyle’s torso instead, then kicks his leg really hard, causing him to yell in pain and fall to the ground. 

The thief walks towards him and kicks Kyle’s stomach, Kyle groans and coughs while the thief began to laugh, then he began to speak, 

    “Wanna save the day like a hero? I won’t spare you for stressing me”

The thief was suddenly blown backwards by the wind causing him to hit his back on the wall as he also fell to the ground. It was Miss Awesome who just arrived, she said as she walked slowly, 

  “Now hand over whatever you stole”. The thief chuckles and got up same time Kyle stood up; he smiles and replied, 

    “You’ll never get it from me”. Miss Awesome sighs shaking her head, and said, “I don’t wanna beat you up… you’re just a petty pickpocket”. 

The thief replied “petty pickpocket indeed!”. 

He closed his eyes and to their surprise, he levitates and his hands was engulfed in green energy substances which he shot at them afterwards, but Miss Awesome pushed Kyle out of the way and took the hit, only for her to be pushed back and also knocked unconscious, while the thief was gone. 

Kyle rushed towards Miss Awesome and her mask had fallen from her face to the ground, he looked at her closely and said to himself quietly, 

     “This is Mary… she’s Miss Awesome?”

Mark was seated, as well as Moza. Mark scoffs and said, 

  “So, what you’re trying to tell me is that… you’re not human? Are you here to joke with me? even if you were really an alien, do I look like an alien language translator?”. 

Moza replies, “Mark aka. Hero, Bethany Shaw’s boyfriend...”

Mark looks surprised and huffs, 

   “your Parents were murdered by Johnny Tony. Look I’m also a superhero like you on my planet, and we've been watching specific people on Earth… you and I are similar in the sense that we even have same powers… but there’s a great threat I can’t face alone, so I’ve come to seek for help”. 

Mark looks confused and he replied “I don’t believe all these you’re saying… except you prove it to me”. 

     “alright” Moza said.

He clicked a device that looked like a wrist watch and it displayed a hologram of Planet Hulton and its’ location in the universe.

 Mark said to himself, “So it’s really true, aliens are real…”. Moza replied saying, “Just say other beings exist across the universe… to us you’re aliens… so as for my powers, let me show you”

(DR ROBERTS LAB)

Ben and Dr. Robert were there, both busy with different things and Ben asked,

 “Why isn’t Mary back yet?”. 

   “She could have gone somewhere else again”, Dr. Robert answered.

  “Speaking of going somewhere, I’ll be travelling soon, I told her but the date isn’t fixed yet”, Ben said, then the door slammed open as Kyle came in with Miss Awesome on his back.

On seeing this, Ben and Dr. Robert rushed to her quickly to attend to her.

While Dr. Robert took her in, Ben asked Kyle, 

    “Who are you and how did you find her, what happened exactly”. Kyle answers, “I’m Kyle, she saved my life and it turns out I know her, she managed to whisper into my ear to bring her here and that’s what I just did”.

(DR. ROBERTS LAB)

Later that day at Roberts Lab, Mary was now awake and was on a bed in one of the rooms. She was still on her superhero outfit, and then she stood up from the bed. 

She came out of the room, now in a casual outfit which was quite big for her, she could hear Ben’s voice as she walked through the passageway, until she got to them; the main room with computers.

Ben and Kyle were having a conversation, and she interrupted saying, “Hello…”. 

They looked at her and Ben quickly rushed to help her sit on a chair. He said, 

    “Thank God you’re awake now, how’re you feeling?”.

 Mary smiled and replies, “Perfectly fine. Kyle… thanks for saving me today”. 

Kyle chuckles, “but you saved me from getting hit, if I had gotten hit, I’m pretty sure I’d be dead now”, he replied.

Ben said to Mary, “So Kyle is Bethany’s sister, which makes him like Mark’s step-brother”. Kyle sighs and replied, “Yeah, maybe”. Mary then asked sharply, “Where’s Mark, where’s Dr. Robert?”.

  “You know Dr. Robert is a very busy man, but as for Mark, he hasn’t been here today”, Ben answered, and Mary asks looking surprised,

    “Why? It’s not normal, except… he’s doing something else again”. Kyle asked “like what?”. 

Mary shakes her head saying, 

    “Doesn’t matter, he’s Hero… I’ll just call him”

(MARK’S HOUSE)

Mark was alone in his house thinking about the things Moza said to him, then he picked up his phone and began to make researches online when got a call from Mary, he answered it immediately, and said into the phone,

  “Hi, Mary”.

 Mary replies, asking, “Mark, where are you”. 

Mark brushed his hair with his hand and answered, “Home… any problem?”. 

  “Not exactly”, she said, while Mark exhales and replied, “I wanna meet everyone right now… I’m coming, there’s something you have to know”.

That evening, Dr. Roberts was just leaving a restaurant with a briefcase in his right hand. As soon as he got outside, he was looking around in a way he could be suspected of doing something illegal. He was speaking to Mary over the phone and was about to get in his car when he was kicked by a masked lady. 

He falls down while his phone fell as well, the lady was putting on a black metallic outfit which was fitted to her body, and was putting on a black mask as well. She said to him, “Now I know your secrets, it’s cool though, but cruel of you”.
