He swiftly jumped back up onto his feet and moved at such speed that it would appear like he just vanished from a normal person's eyes. He appeared above me and he plunged down with both of his knives pointed toward my skull.

I moved back a bit as he landed in front of me and kicked him with much force to the ribs, as he went flying a few meters away from me. Looking at this opportunity, I rushed toward him.

Standing up instantly, he thrusts the knife towards my face. Evading it, I catch hold of his arm and with my front foot; I turn around swiftly to deliver a sidekick to his chest, but he also catches my leg and kicks me hard in the gut and I stagger back a few steps.

Looking at his bloodthirsty eyes, I rush toward him at full speed. Ducking down under his arm as he swings both of his knives at me, I deliver an uppercut to his jaw as he steps back and spits out blood.

He lunged at me again and started attacking with the knives without giving me any break. I had no other choice than to go into defensive mode, as I kept blocking his hits and parrying them.

Suddenly, I noticed his knee coming towards my guts as I jumped back, but it was a mistake as he instantly rushed towards me and stabbed me on the side of my waist, I noticed blood slowly seeping out of the wound.

Crouching down, he kicked my knee, which made me lose my balance as, with his other leg, he spun around and his heel smashed the side of my neck. I was recovering as I noticed his breathing becoming slower for a bit.

Instantly, raising my left leg, I went for a roundhouse kick as he was left wide open. As soon as the kick connects with the side of his face, and my other foot lands on the ground, I spin around to deliver a spinning kick, which leaves him on the ground for a moment.

Looking at this opportunity, he tries to stab my leg with one of the knives but gives him a feint with my left leg as I fall for it and I deliver an axe kick to his shoulders with such force that his body hits the ground with a loud noise.

Grabbing his neck, I picked up his body as it swayed in the air and kicked him hard enough that his back smashed the wall behind him and his limp body fell to the ground with a thud noise.

Without giving him a chance to rest, I appeared right next to him and held his elbows. Before he could retaliate, I twisted it the other way and a loud cracking noise emerged, showing the fracture that I inflicted upon him.

The knife in his left arm fell down as I caught it and he instantly pushed me away with all his might, but it was futile. As soon as I broke his arm, he knew that he wouldn't be walking out alive from this room.

He looked at me with eyes, which were blood red, that would send shivers down anyone's spine. Jumped on the wall behind him and propelled off it. He lunged towards me, but I evaded his attack, but delivered a heavy knee to his abdomen, as his back arched upwards from the force and then elbowed him down.

He looked at me with his jade eyes, which were on the verge of giving out. I could tell that he was holding onto his dear life, as tears were running down his pale cheeks, which were getting mixed with the blood and giving off the appearance that he was crying blood out of his eyes.

He still had some of that fighting spirit left as he was trying to sneak a knife to my shin, but I raised my foot and smashed the fingers of his right hand, as he let go of the knife, and his fingers fell lifeless.

There was nothing but pure fear in his eyes, as I picked up the knife right next to his eyes. His jade eyes followed my every action, and I could tell that his breathing was becoming heavy too.

I was looking at the knife, which appeared to be a hunting knife of some sort, as the blade had prominent carvings on it which were there to serve the purpose of skinning the beasts without breaking a sweat.

I looked at him as our eyes met. With eyes which seemed devoid of any kind of human emotion a few moments earlier were now filled with the determination and will to live. His eyes illustrated his desire to be alive.

"Please don't kill me…" He pleaded for his life, but unfortunately, I had no other choice than to kill one more person and staining my hand in their blood at the cost of walking out alive from this accursed room.

I looked into lifeless eyes, and said in a soft tone, "Sorry…"

"Plea…" As he was about to plead again in his shaking voice, I looked towards his lifeless eyes as they stared at me for what felt like an eternity.

I thrust the knife behind his neck in such a way that it would instantly cut off the connection between his spinal cord and brain, and lead him to a quick and painless death. His body went limp, and his bloodshot eyes kept staring into nothingness.

"Vessel 69, Result: Passed the Test!" The hoarse voice again echoed inside my head as I started walking towards the door.

Suddenly, my heart again started beating fast, and I felt unbearable pain in my left hand. At that moment, I felt like ripping off my arm. My eyes were slowly closing as my vision became darker and darker. Soon my body hit the cold floor of that room as I slowly lost consciousness.

Compared to the last time I felt this way about my image, I appear to be a lot different. Apart from the physical changes, I have changed as a person too.Of course, my 17-year-old body would be different from my 12-year-old one. I have grown taller, and facial structure has changed and my voice sure has taken a ride to depths. My long hair was a wet mess as I just came out of the shower."How the heck is your hair so silky?" I looked at her, as I ran my hands through my hair and nodded, "I don't know to be honest.""Why do boys have such great hair traits?"I swept my hair to the side and walked towards her with a smirk,

Today is my first day at our new senior academy. I wouldn't say I'm nervous but I can definitely say that I'm not as excited as the energy ball walking beside me. We left our room an hour before as Laeratia didn't want to be late for the orientation program.I was waiting with her on the sidewalk waiting for a cab as we weren't not going to walk to the academy. It was situated on the outskirts of the main town because the campus is literally vast enough to be declared a town on its own.Standing on the sidewalk, the early sun rays were piercing my eyes. I lifted my left hand to cover my eyes from it. The sky was clear and it was a pleasant day with a gentle cold breeze brushing past us. Neither was it too humid nor too dry.My eyes turned towards the road as I heard the sound of wheels coming to a halt with a screeching noise. It was a white cart with two doors painted in black which meant it could fit 4 people legally. Even though I have seen 6-7 people travelling in these wagons co

I glimpsed over at Laeratia to see an irritated look on her face. Not only was the campus as big as we've heard of, the architecture of the buildings really brought out that refined image of this elite academy. No wonder it was one of the top academies in the country and everyone wants to be a product out of this brand. The crowd of students was increasing the more we were walking towards the main building. In the mail we received, it was instructed that the orientation would take place in the auditorium. But with a campus of this scale, finding it on the first day was a difficult task."What time is it?" Laeratia asked, as I looked down at my watch and replied, "It's half past eight.""Oh shit!
