In the end, with the help of Evans' assistant, Greyson spent the whole day learning the ropes at the company. He went home in the afternoon with a headache.
Meanwhile, Silvia said she was going to do some things and left somewhere.
On his way home, Greyson stopped by his laundry shop. He had asked a friend to take care of the shop for the next few days.
After everything was arranged, Greyson went to the biggest mall in town. Daniel had offered to buy Greyson some decent clothes for him. Although it wasn't clear, Greyson could understand Daniel's intentions. Greyson's current appearance didn't reflect a CEO at all. Greyson refused Daniel's help and said that he could buy them himself.
Arriving in front of a men's clothing store, which he found the first time, Greyson decided to take a look around. He wasn't very picky. He didn't even glance at the name of the shop he entered.
"Good morning, sir. How may I help you?" A young girl said a friendly hello. Her smile was as sweet as a lollipop.
Greyson only took a quick glance before saying, "I'm looking for some formal and casual wear."
The sales girl excitedly showed him where some models were hung.
"Sir, you can try it." The girl named Lily pointed the way to the fitting room. She seemed enthusiastic about serving her potential buyers.
"I'll look around for a while." Greyson stepped slowly between the display cases.
Lily immediately kept her distance and let Greyson look around while staying on standby in case he was called at any time.
A woman dressed in a uniform similar to Lily's with heavy makeup approached. She looked ten years older than her coworker just because of her makeup. Her eyes caught a glimpse of a customer who was looking around. Her face immediately became sullen.
"You should be more careful in serving customers. Didn't you see this man's appearance? He doesn't look like he can afford to buy things here. I doubt if he can pay for a tie." Lily's lady friend spoke without lowering her voice. She didn't feel worried if the person she was referring to heard her words.
Lily's small eyebrows furrowed. She seemed to be thinking.
"The manager said not to judge customers by their appearance. We don't know who we're dealing with. This shop only stocks quality goods, and of course, they are very expensive. People who come in already know this." Lily repeated the manager's words when she started work. She remembered them very clearly.
"That's just nonsense." Grace retorted irritably. She didn't really like having her words doubted. "In reality, rich people will look like rich people. You still have more to learn. If you're experienced enough, you can judge in just one look."
Lily slightly believed Grace's words. She looked once more at the man. In his hands were now several sets of clothes. He seemed to be choosing quickly. Just look at the size and choose the color. It seemed like this person didn't pay attention to the price either.
Greyson searched with his gaze and signaled for Lily to come closer.
"Look. The man chose without looking at the price. Oh my. There are probably a dozen pieces of clothing in his hands. I don't believe he'll be able to pay. Be careful. I'll call security." Grace reminded the girl who immediately approached Greyson. She went to the table in the corner and started making calls.
Greyson didn't pay much attention to the conversation between the servants. He just wanted to leave quickly and return to the apartment.
Lily welcomed all the items handed to her with an awkward smile. She remembered Grace's words and began to hesitate. This is too much!
"You don't want to try it first?" Lily asked cautiously.
Greyson shook his head. "No, I'm not. I'm in a hurry."
Only an 'oh' sound came from the young girl's mouth. Panicked, she looked at Grace. The woman was senior to her. Lily began to have a little faith in Grace's words.
Over there, Grace gestured with a mouth movement, indicating that everything was safe. She had asked the security guards to come.
Lily walked to the cashier with the items Greyson had chosen. She placed them on the table and let Greyson wait.
There was no suspicious movement from the customer. Lily was confused. Is this man really going to pay her?
At that moment Grace confidently approached the cashier's desk. She saw various items with famous brand labels being scanned one after another. Her smile instantly became sardonic.
"Sir, have you seen the price on the label?" Grace bluntly asked. She was curious about the calm demeanor of the man who was instead busy with his phone and not paying attention to the price display on the screen.
Greyson had just gotten a message notification from his old school group. He was just about to open the message when the waitress asked.
"No need," Greyson replied indifferently. In the past, he had cared enough to look at the amount of money in his wallet and make sure the prices of the things he bought he could afford. Today he just got the black card from his sister and was too dizzy to pay attention to such small things.
Grace was stunned for a moment. The tone of the man in front of her sounded very confident. She appraised once more and observed Greyson's appearance from head to toe. Even after repeatedly, Grace was still convinced that she hadn't misjudged. None of the clothes Greyson was wearing reflected any particular brand. Perhaps this man bought them from a cheap convenience store on the side of the road.
The number on the screen had passed two hundred thousand dollars. All the waiters were dumbfounded. This was the biggest purchase in recent months.
"Sir, are you sure you can pay? Look, it's two hundred thousand and forty-two dollars." Grace couldn't help but scoff. Out of the corner of her eye, two security guards could be seen approaching.
At that moment, two customers entered the store. A man and a woman. Both were equally surprised and astonished when they saw Greyson.

It took him some time to find the irregularity Greyson was referring to."Sir, this is... This project is part of our top ten projects. " Daniel looked at Greyson with admiration. Jacob had previously ordered several auditors to check. But they found nothing wrong. As for Greyson, he only needed a day to get into this office and a few hours to study the documents to find any fraud."There are a few more." Greyson handed over a stack of documents three inches thick.Daniel Evans immediately felt a headache. He glanced at Malcolm briefly then said again, "Keep your voice down. He can hear.""Report to where? Didn't it say that the HR manager is his uncle?" This time it was the other man who spoke. He said it in a half-whispered voice."Then, report it to the HR director." Greyson came up with another solution. "Report hid uncle and nephew as well."Suddenly, the cafeteria became even quieter. Their voices were deliberately lowered, making it impossible to make out their conversation. Then came the sound of a lock being undone, followed by the creak of a turning doorknob. The door pushed open from the outside. Three people stepped into the dimly lit room where Naomi was held. The room itself was shrouded in mystery. The stone walls were old, with peeling paint. A small window was covered by heavy drapes, blocking out all light. The air smelled of dampness and dust, as if the place had been abandoned for years.Naomi’s sharp gaze landed on the man standing directly before her. He wore a dark coat, and his long blonde hair cas

Traces of dried tears were still visible on her wrinkled cheeks."Come in," Mrs. Reed finally said, her voice hoarse. The simple living room was filled with an air of unease. Matt was incredibly famous. Half the women in the country adored him. He stared at the screen in disbelief. But these women—either too busy or simply uninterested in entertainment news—claimed not to know him."Sorry, his name has never appeared in any financial reports I read," Silvia replied dryly."I don't like reading gossip magazines," Ivy added, crossing her arms defensively. Oh, you mean that promise?” She chuckled.“Exactly,” Naomi nodded in satisfaction. “Grey here thinks we’ve all forgotten about it.”“Forgotten?” Silvia raised an eyebrow. “How could I possibly forget? I even kept the agreement he signed with a red crayon.”“You kept it?!” Greyson couldn’t hide his shock.“Of course, Grey. It’s a legal document.” Silvia grinned mischi

With a swift movement, he lunged at Matt and snatched the gun from his hand. “What the hell are you doing, you idiot?!”Matt froze, his mouth slightly open. His face didn’t show the panic one would expect from someone who had nearly killed his friend. Instead, his expression was unreadable—somewhere between shock and... disappointment?“I... I didn’t mean to,” Matt finally muttered, his voice low. “I didn’t realize the trigger was that sensitive.”Greyson straightened up, his gaze shifting from the bullet hole in the wall to Matt, his expression unnaturally calm. As if his near-d
