The unventilated room, the worn walls, and the dust that scattered when the feet stepped on the floor. It was a sign that a room the size of a bathroom in a rural home had not been lived in for years. In fact, it was far worse than the place where Vina and her mother had been kept.

Clara stomped on her lit cigarette butt as she heard her captive moan. Franklin also cleared his throat and slowly walked into the cramped room. Witnessing a man who turned him into a monstrous figure being tormented by carbon dioxide fumes.
