Chapter 14

Archer groaned as he rolled around in the sheets. His head felt heavy and he wanted to do nothing more than sleep in.

It was a bad idea to drink when the next day was a working day.

The events of yesterday were still in his mind, he dreaded having to face his colleagues after everything they witnessed in the parking lot.

Archer knew it took great effort not to give in to his anger. The way they were tempting him, he almost blew up.

He had no idea how he got home but he could remember waiting with Lola who ordered a cab, she kept asking him questions he couldn't answer.

Archer saw to it that she entered the cab and then waited for his driver to come to pick him up, he had walked into the house startling Gabriel.

The latter had bombarded him with questions but Archer couldn't answer him. How could he explain that he almost gave in to his anger and plummeted an asshole to the ground?

The knock on the door made Archer's eyes pop open, and Gabriel peeked in.

"Aren't you late for work?" he
