Evelyn turned to them, a sneer on her lips.

“Yes, it’s coming from me. What about it?”

Allen scoffed, “he is your husband,”

“A very bad one at that, Allen. What is your point?” She questioned him.

They all stared at her, a stare which she returned without flinching. She lifted her finger and pointed at all of them, “you are all sitting here, ganging up on someone who did nothing you while the real villain is in jail.”

Evelyn shook her head, “no, you are the real villians. So idiotic to follow the word of my husband without questioning it. Where has that got you? A business deal with no idea how to lead it,”

Greenfidge stood up, “shut your mouth, woman. All you have done since you got here is spew nonsense without thinking. Who are you to accuse us of being the villians?”

Alexa tried to defend her mother but Evelyn held her back and shook her head subtly, she stepped forward meeting Greenfidge toe to toe.

“I hope you didn’t just speak to me that way, Greenfidge. Are you pressed from my
