Chapter 6 Not My Type

Two Nort members, who happened to be nearby, swiftly drew their weapons upon witnessing the extraordinary turn of events.

"Isn't that the boss?" one Nort member exclaimed to the other, recognizing Newton, who had been introduced to them as Mr. Norton's son.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

They opened fire on the fleeing car, but it quickly became apparent that their shots were futile against the rapidly receding vehicle.

Realizing the futility, they approached Newton. "Are you alright, boss?" they asked him, their concern evident.

Newton assessed his body for any signs of injury. "I'm fine," he assured them.

His gaze met their eager eyes as they awaited an explanation. "It was the Lees," he disclosed, answering the question on their minds.

"The Lees? The Big Boss needs to know about this."

"...The Big Boss specifically ordered us to steer clear of their territories and avoid provoking them, and now they have the audacity to provoke the Norts first?"

"I've been waiting for the day when I could wipe those pink faces off the map. Now they've done it, not just to any Nort, but to the boss's son..."

"Mr. Lee has crossed the line this time," another member interjected.

"Boss, let us take you home. The Big Boss must be informed about this," they suggested.

Newton appreciated their care and concern. He shook his head, "No, I don't want him to be informed," he replied. Seeing the horror on their faces, he elaborated, "I don't want to incite a gang war. It never ends well for either side. Besides, they took me without knowing who I was and released me as soon as they realized my identity."

"As you wish, boss."

*Beep!* *Beep!* *Beep!*

Newton's phone rang.

He raised the phone to his ear, but before it could make contact...

"Son, what the hell is going on? Those bloody Lees...those bastards...they've finally done it. Now I'll show that filthy Lee what it means to mess with the Norts," his father's voice boomed from the other end.

"Dem mofuckas done did it this time," Newton could hear Drax's voice in the background.

Newton could discern a mix of cursing and swearing underneath it all, indicating that his father was in the midst of a meeting with various Nort Mafia bosses.

Less than five minutes had passed since he had been thrown out of the Lee members' car, yet his father already possessed all the details. "How did you find out about this?"

"Son, we have eyes and ears everywhere, even among the Lees and Beanies. I need you home in 20 minutes! We're going to remind those Lee pigs who truly runs this town because it seems their memories are failing them."

"We've been too lenient on 'em, boss," Newton could hear Drax's voice amidst the heated cursing and ranting of the agitated men.

"Ama, bring your whip!" Drax shouted over the phone, ensuring Newton could hear him.

Newton proceeded to a nearby restaurant to grab a meal while awaiting Drax's arrival with the car.

He entered the establishment with the two gang members flanking him.

The doorman held the door open for them as they stepped inside.

Newton acknowledged the doorman with a greeting, but the two accompanying men didn't even glance at his face. They maintained a serious demeanor and trailed behind Newton.

Approaching the counter, Newton and his companions made their food selections.

"Would you prefer to eat outside or in here?" the lovely lady behind the counter inquired.

Taking a moment to consider his companions, Newton looked at their expressions before responding, "Hmm... let's eat outside."

Using his cell phone, Newton proceeded to transfer an amount double the price of the food to the lady behind the counter. "You can keep the remaining amount as a tip," he generously told her.

Newton made the decision to dine in the outer area so that he could keep an eye out for Drax's arrival and make the most of his time. Soon, their food was brought to their table, and they began eating. Newton felt a sense of relief and satisfaction since he hadn't eaten for an entire day. He leaned back in his seat, stretching his legs and taking in the moment.

In that moment, Newton's attention was caught by a strikingly beautiful woman. She had an attractive hourglass figure, long hair, and was dressed in a crop top and a short miniskirt. Her beauty reminded him of his ex-girlfriend, Rhoda. Motioning to his companions to wait, Newton decided to approach her table.

Empowered by his newfound confidence and status, Newton was now able to approach someone without hesitation, unlike before.

"Excuse me, I hope you don't mind me interrupting, but did you know that I've been misled since I was young?" Newton initiated the conversation.

The lady replied nonchalantly, "Okay."

Newton smiled, feeling emboldened. "I was told that angels have wings and wear white robes, but now I know they look just like you."

The lady chuckled, revealing her well-maintained teeth. "I'm Tracy," she introduced herself.

Newton nodded. "I'm Newton. It's not every day you get to meet real angels, but I think I just did."

Tracy blushed in response.

"By the way, I only have space for one more contact in my phone. Could I have your number, please?" Newton requested.

Tracy smiled and shook her head gently. "Newton, you're quite charming. I like your pickup lines, very smooth."

Newton, who was dressed casually in unbranded clothes and simple shoes instead of his high-fashion designer attire, felt a bit dejected.

She held Newton's hands gently. "I'm sure there are plenty of girls out there who would love to have you. You're funny and seem like a nice guy. Just not me, I'm sorry."

Although disappointed, Newton concealed his frustration. "So I can't have your number?" he inquired.

"I'm sorry, I don't give my number to strangers," Tracy explained.

Suddenly, a high-powered supercar screeched to a halt in front of Newton, emitting a powerful roar.

*Vroom*

Drax approached Newton, who was still hunched over the table in conversation with Tracy.

"Here are your keys, boss," Drax announced, tossing Newton the keys to a Koenigsegg Absolut, an extravagant sports car.

Newton caught the keys effortlessly with one hand.

"Yo, you got a new lady?" Drax asked Newton, observing the interaction.

"No, she turned me down," Newton replied with a disappointed expression.

Tracy chimed in, "We weren't finished talking, Newton."

Surprised by Tracy's sudden change, Newton turned to her. "Yes, we were. Didn't you say you weren't interested and wouldn't give me your number?"

Tracy quickly changed her tone and placed a hand on Newton's shoulder, claiming that she was only playing hard to get and wanted him to appreciate her company later. She insisted that it was love at first sight and that she liked him as soon as she saw him.

Drax, unimpressed, shook his head. "Damn, these girls be telling lies thicker than molasses. Even the devil would choke on the high cholesterol in 'em," he remarked.

Turning to Newton, he suggested that Tracy wasn't worth the trouble and urged him to leave. Newton glanced at Tracy, shook his head, and walked away with a smile on his face.

Newton pressed a button on the car's key fob twice, causing the engine to rev loudly. It was a deliberate move to provoke Tracy.

Tracy, determined, got up and started running after Newton's car on her high heels.

From the passenger seat, Drax commented, "Damn, that girl's gonna faceplant at this rate."

Newton rolled down the window and whispered, "Don't judge a book by its cover, Tracy," before accelerating to 60 mph in just 3 seconds.
