Michael quickly dropped the gun and dropped to his knees. He had no idea why, but pulling the trigger felt very satisfying. He felt like he had been relieved of a load that he had been carrying for years.

He made sure the bullet went through her head to avoid any chance of her waking up. He stared at her lifeless body as blood kept pouring out of her head with her eyes wide open.

The police officers pushed him to the ground as they read out his rights and cuffed him.

One of them checked Shelly's pulse and nodded his head. She was dead, and all they could do was charge Michael with murder and begin processing the place as a crime scene.

Michael was taken to the car and transported back to prison. He had no regrets; he felt he did the right thing. And instead of requesting a lawyer, he kept requesting for Daniel. There was one last wish that he wanted to be granted.
