Chapter 20

George's chest began to tighten. He felt like he was getting enough air as he slowly unbuttoned his jacket and untied his tie. He couldn't believe the Melvin science project had gone to a useless boy, a nobody who used to live in the slams. In fact, I still did.

Even with his connections back then, he was unable to obtain this project during his university days. However, that project landed with a nobody. He yelled out on top of his voice in frustration, attracting the gaze of people passing by.

"What are you all looking at?" He yelled at them as he grabbed his phone and began calling specific numbers in his phone, breathing heavily. He needed to block the stupid project. Thanks to the stupid aunt, he could not find "That Thing" and now it looked like the boy was heading for success which would be a disadvantage if the artifact ever resurfaced in his possession.

The boy needed to maintain his poor status, that was how it was always supposed to be. That was the balance of things.
