CHAPTER 29: EARLY THAT CORONATION DAY

Romsey peeped through the door and saw that the dark maid had left. He walked lazily into the long hallway that led to the exit of the main building.

Ellen rushed to him, her eyes wide with concern. "Good morning, young master," she greeted with bended knees. Romsey replied with a calm smile that showed how friendly he was.

"Morning, ma'am. How's it going?" Some maids who weren't aware of his true personality continued in their business of the day.

A guy turned to another who was pruning flowers and asked, "Has the billionaire's son arrived in Chicago yet?" Romsey walked past them silently without notice. It was obvious that Baron Spears had authorized the commissioner for media not to publicize the ambush that had occurred during his arrival in Chicago, to aid the police in carrying out their investigation.

Romsey waited, a sight caught his attention. It was a man slapping several other men brutally, the sound of the slap echoing through the hallway.
