Sarah and Vera had just finished class and were walking in the hallway. The campus was bustling, students were busy passing by, some were discussing, some were reading books, and some were enjoying their free time.

Earlier, Robert had tried to meet them and invite them to go somewhere nice. However, Vera refused. Vera's attitude seemed indifferent and even very ignorant when spoken to by Robert. This made things a little awkward.

Sarah, knowing that something was wrong, asked Vera, "I heard you had another problem with Robert? Is that true?"

Vera was unfazed and replied casually, "I didn't have an argument with him. It's just a rumor." She knew that Sarah would defend Robert and force Vera to forgive his behavior. However, this time Vera was furious and she would not forgive him so easily. She had slandered William and even worse she couldn't prove what she said.
