Vera, with her heart pounding, looked at William's back silently. There was something she wanted to say.

"William," she called out.

William, who was pedaling his bicycle, turned his head briefly.

"What happened, Vera?"

Vera felt nervous, her cheeks were bright red. She felt like she was standing on a stage, with all eyes on her. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to say hello to you yesterday," she said.

William was surprised for a moment, then smiled and nodded. "Oh, that was yesterday. It's okay, Vera. I'm relieved that you don't misunderstand anymore."

Hearing these words, Vera felt relieved. The heaviness in her chest slowly began to subside. "So, what about Belinda's leg yesterday?"

William thought for a moment before answering, "I don't think it's too serious." His words sounded rather nonchalant.
