They Were Dumbfounded

William smiled with satisfaction. This was the first time he had won a money deal and imagined Mickey having to kneel in front of him. However, he also had to hold back his laughter when he saw the man kneeling in front of him with a pale face.

"Never mind, get up," William said after a while of enjoying the moment. Before Mickey got up, William had already apologized to the store manager for making a scene. The store manager was almost threatened with dismissal if William didn't forgive his dismissive attitude.

Now his life has changed after all he knows his true identity. No one can insult him anymore. William is no longer a beggar that they can belittle like before.

Speaking of the bag, William actually wanted to leave it to Mickey but he changed his mind because it was certain that the man would not accept the fact that this was a gift from William. He came to the house himself and gave it to Josy, Sheryl's housekeeper.

William came to Sheryl's house, where she was relaxing while looking at her beautiful nails after having them done. Josy, who knew about William's arrival first, was surprised when she saw him standing in front of the fence.

"What are you doing here?" asked Josy worriedly. Jordan was also in the house and if they met there could be a scene again.

William refrained from explaining at length. He just wanted to finish his business as best he could without getting into trouble.

"I'm not going to make trouble here," William replied calmly. "I just came to give this bag to Sheryl."

Josy looked at him suspiciously. Maybe William should save up to be able to buy it. Sheryl would surely refuse because she knew her adopted son wouldn't be able to afford such an expensive item.

"Give this to Sheryl," William said as he handed her a pouch containing a very fancy-looking bag. "This is for Sheryl."

"Where did you get this?" asked Josy curiously.

"I don't need to say, just give it to Sheryl. Tell her that I'm grateful that she was willing to slap me," William replied.

Josy couldn't resist, so she nodded.

"Oh yes, one more thing. Give it to her during the special occasion, after she opens the gifts from Mickey and Jordan."

Hearing that, Josy immediately left with the bag.

A few days later, Sheryl's special occasion arrived. Mickey had never mentioned that he met William before and the fact that he had prepared a special gift for his mother.

Jordan gave her diamond earrings and Mickey gave her the latest lipstick from her mother's favorite brand. The gifts had made Sheryl happy and she thanked her two sons for being so generous.Suddenly Josy came into the living room and said in a nervous voice, "Madam, there is one more gift for you."

"From whom?" asked Sheryl with furrowed brows.

Mickey's face suddenly turned pale. Oh my! Did William really send a gift here after being humiliated in the shop and then just leave? He thought William would sell the bag back. Apparently not! He really gave it here!

Josy who was asked answered honestly, "This is the bag William gave me."

"What? William?" Sheryl rounded her eyes. "He's so brave to give me a present. Does he want to make a scene here again?"

Mickey didn't dare to say anything, only his hands were clenched as his mother accepted the gift.

Sheryl told Josy to throw it away. "Just get rid of it or burn it! I don't need a gift from a scavenger like William," she said angrily.

Josy asked again, "Are you sure you don't want to accept it first? This bag looks very fancy."

"The bag is from William, it must be nothing more than junk!"

"Mom, don't throw the bag away. You should take a look at it first." Mickey said.

Jordan was surprised by what his brother said. "Let's just throw it away! The important thing is that we've given our mom a proper gift, not something cheap like that!"

"It's not cheap!" Mickey argued. "Just check it out first!"

"How do you know?" Jordan asked curiously.

Mickey was forced to admit. "I met him. We had an argument. He humiliated me. It was a limited edition bag that cost 13,000 dollars," Mickey replied.

Sheryl rounded her eyes, not believing what her son was saying. She quickly unwrapped the bag and inside was a very nice item, exactly as Mickey had said.

"This is real!" Sheryl exclaimed after inspecting it.Jordan and Sheryl had their mouths gaping while Mickey could only snort in annoyance.

"How could he have this?" Sheryl couldn't believe it.

"That's what I don't know either," Mickey said. "Now he's so arrogant that he even dares to humiliate you."

"Humiliate you? How?" Sheryl raised her voice to speak.

Mickey didn't dare to speak because he was afraid that his foolish behavior would become the subject of ridicule by others. "Forget it," he said then as he pondered, "But now we have to find out who donated William that much money so that he could buy that luxury bag."

Sheryl gave him a sharp look. "I'll find out about him!"
