“We are truly, Sir. Reed, but we really tried eveything we could to save his life, but nature had to take over.” Doctor Foster said.

Nathan wept losely, but Kamsi cried even more. Her grandfather was the best man on the planet and just when she was getting to know him on a more personal level, he left her alone. She stood beside Papa Sam’s lifeless body.

Fred did not say a word. He knew deep down that Papa Sam was going to die soon. The old man was already clocking 100 and that was more than enough time for a human to live on the earth.

“He lived a well fulfilled life, Mr. Reed and I can only say that it was his time. He is in a better place. He was a good man.” Doctor Foster declared.

Nathan sighed. He never really got time to bond with the old man. But the doctor was right in saying that his grandfather had lived a long time on earth. He looked at his corpse. He still looked as strong as yesterday.

“Rest well, granddad!” Nathan exclaimed. It was a tough moment for him. A
