Her Mother's Grief

As dawn broke, Liana's mother arrived at the hospital with a glimmer of hope in her heart. She greeted the doctor with a grateful smile, eager for any news of her daughter's condition. "How is she?" she asked, her voice trembling with anticipation.

The doctor's expression was grave as he met her gaze. "She's stable," he replied, his words a balm to her frayed nerves. "But she's still unconscious. We're doing everything we can for her."

Relief flooded her features as she followed the doctor down the corridor towards the recovery room. But as they approached, her heart sank at the sight of a cluster of medical personnel gathered outside the door.

Her brow furrowed in confusion as the doctor turned to her with a solemn expression. "I'm sorry, but you'll have to wait here," he said gently, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "We need to run some tests on Liana."
