"James is a farmer," Grace said with a shaky voice.

Her father's response wasn't surprising as she knew he'd yell at her. The man was confused at first, thinking his daughter was playing games with him like she always did but Grace assured him that she wasn't playing games with him this time and should take her words seriously since it's about her life and who she was going to be committed to.

"Pttf!" He scoffed. "Nonsense!" The man yelled, hitting his fist on the armrest.

"Father, this is about the person I want to get married to. James is a farmer but he's well-to-do. I'm sure you'll like him...."
