Twenty Eight Years Ago

A woman in her mid-twenties ran gracefully in the hallway, holding onto her long gown to save her from falling on the titled ground. Her hair followed the rhythm of the breeze as her ocean eyes sparkled each time a smile crept on her face.

She descended the grand stairs, heading towards the sitting room where she knew her father would be.

"Father." She called as she hastily ran to the sitting room, halting in front of the door while she peeped through the slightly opened door and found her father conversing with a foreign man about something she didn't know as they spoke in a foreign language.

She placed her hand on her chest and felt her heartbeat accelerating. "I need to tell him about it, once and for all." She muttered under her breath. After waiting for some minutes, she peeped again and found her father waving goodbye to the foreigner. "It's time." She said her voice barely above a whisper.
