Chapter Seventy

The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting long shadows across the city streets as Alex and Sarah walked briskly toward the old multi-use building they now called their own. It had been a long day filled with the usual bustle of managing their burgeoning community space. As they approached the entrance, a chill ran down Alex's spine, and he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.

"Do you ever get the feeling that there's something... off about this place?" Alex asked, glancing nervously at Sarah.

She paused, her steps faltering for a moment before she replied, "Yeah, sometimes. But it's probably just our imagination playing tricks on us. This building has a lot of history, after all."
