Chapter Sixty Seven

Alex and Sarah woke up to the sound of Alex's phone vibrating on the nightstand. He groaned, reaching for it and squinting at the screen. "It's Matt," he said, his voice heavy with sleep.

Sarah turned over, her eyes barely open. "What time is it?"

"Too early," Alex replied, sitting up and answering the call. "Hey, Matt, what's going on?"

"Sorry to call so early," Matt's voice crackled through the phone. "But we’ve got a problem. Our first major client is reconsidering their deal. Apparently, a competitor has launched a very aggressive marketing campaign."

Alex rubbed his temples, the morning's tranquility shattered. "Are you serious? We just secured them!"

"I know," Matt replied, frustration evident. "We need to figure out a way to keep them. Can you come to the office? We need to strategize."

"I’ll be there as soon as I can," Alex said, ending the call. He turned to Sarah, who was now fully awake and looking concerned.
