Chapter 3

Garden Of Eden

Brian looked at his sister amazed, she was completely acting weird, he tried to think about what she had experienced ouside that had made her this different.

Vanya was working hard in the kitchen to prepare a meal for the two of them using their single-burner stove, and Brian couldn't help but sneak a glimpse at her every so often.

"Brian, why are you still standing there, come over this is a very special dish, with alot of nutrients. Am sure you would like this"

Brian was still suprised, from what he was seeing, his sister was preparing something so delicious that he was almost salivating,

His sister hardly cooked in the house,instead she always brought food from the restaurant, he had tasted all the recipes in the restaurant, and was sure that whatever his sizter was cookibg was nothing from there

Brian walked towards her "Sister you haven't been in the restaurant for days now, where did you get all this food,"

Vanya only smiled and once again beckoned him to sit down.

"Sister dont tell me you cooked all this, they look very expensive"

"Yes, they are not from the restaurant, and dont worry, i no longer have to work there"

"Sister what happened, did they lay you off"

Vanya smiled and ruffled her brother's hair as she did so. Rather than bursting out laughing and making a comment about how pointless it was about to become, being a waitress.

Dont worry i wasnt layed off, i quit myself, it has become pointless for me to keep working there, dont worry about anything else the only thing you need to do is concentrateon your studies i will take care of everything else."

Brian was confused from what his sister said, she had left the restaurant

'did she get a better job, thats probably it'

Brian smiled, after deducting that, his sister had probably gotten a new Job and their lives was going to be better.

Following that, the two people spent some time giggling and conversing with one another before commencing to consume their food.

Vanya hadn't been able to take pleasure in meals of this caliber in a very long time, so even she was very happy as they ate. When the Apocalypse had come, food like this had completely disappeared as the new world didnt have thesame plants as earth

During her last former life, she had a life that was full of anarchy and wildness. Due to the fact that she lacked strength, she was unable to provide for her brother, as they both went days without food, and in the end, she was unable to save him from the dreadful things that took place, her brother had died in a gruesome manner, just like million of other earthlings

She made a solemn vow to herself that she would never again put up with any of those circumstances or allow any of those things to occur, this time, she was going to save her brother no matter the cost, and he was. Never going to experience hunger in his life even in the Apocalypse.

Her eyes turned cold, and ruthless as she remembered the past, but once again turned calm, as she realised this time everything was under her control.

After their food, they both sat on the old couch which needed alot of repairs, Vanya even remembered that she had been saving mobey to but a new 1, they spoke about alot on things, after about an hour of laughs and giggle, Brian finally went back to his books, he was pumped up Today, as he thought since his sister had gotten a bew Job it was time for him to also put more effort in his Studies.

Vanya looked at the time, it was 8 O'clock and four hours away from the launching of 'Game On',the game will silently appear in all servers, without anyone knowing how it had come about, the first people that had entered the game had done that solely out of curiosity.

The game pod that had just been brought into their living room and was taking up the majority of the available area, Vanya peered at it as she thought of all the miraculous things that were going happened.

She couldn't help but feel a vague sense of excitement and anticipation coursing through her veins, despite the fact that she was still a little afraid of what the future had in store for her.

She didn't have much to do, and she had already devised a sort of plan for how he would go about everything, but she knew whatever her plan was, she needed to do more, because even with her knowledge of the future, she was not sure if humanity could still win, if she Could win

She sat on the couch as she tried to remember, everything that had happened, and made more plan on how to counter the insane future.

It, was winter, everwhere was cold, suprisinly this night seemed to be mre cold than usual, last month the gas prices had gone up, so they couldn't afford to put on the heater, but things were different right now, as money would no longer be a problem.

She stood up and put on the heater, Brian who was still studying felt the warm heat, that was dispersing around the house, he raised his head to see his sister smiling at him, after noticing she had put on the heater, it further verified his claim that his sister had gotten a job that payed more than the waitress job she had before.

Since Vanya's hard-working brother was putting her to shame, he determined to also put some effort as well.

There was something she needed to do in other to acclimatize her body with 'Mana' the supreme energy in the world, it was the energy that had made all the impossible things that had happened to her in her past life possible, she was even sure it was also the thing that had brought her here, back in time.

She brought out a mat from her room, and then sat down in a cross legged position,she sat there meditating, trying to calm her mind from the disarray that it had been, simce she was brought back.

She sat there still meditating for almost an hour, before she finally stood up from the still position.

When she stood up, she started making stretching her body from side to side snd then later started making weird posses that almost looked like Yoga.

Despite her lean malnourished body , she was able to steady her posses even the most unstable posses in a matter of minutes and effortlessly put her body under her control.

Beads of sweat started droping from her body as she continued, whenever she done with a particular pose, she felt as if a lock had been open in her body, though it was abit painfull she was use to this pain.

"Sister, when did you learn Yoga, didnt you say it was an exercise for rich kids…"

Brian cried out as he watched his sister twist her body into a number of different posses and forms,

His sister was extremely lean, so it was easy got her to twist her body abit, but all her poses were pusging it yo the limit, the more he watched the more fearfull he began to feel, as he sidnt want her to get injured.

Even though he was able to identify most of this poses as Yoga it was still unsettling for him watch his sister push it yo this limit, he had never seeing anyone doing Yoga this way, his sister was acting like her body was rubber than could be twisted and bended any way she wanted.

Vanya kept going with her training for another half an hour and throughout that time, her brother kept giving her worried glances.

Whenever she finished a pose she would always give him a smile, assuring him that she was ok.

Vanya noticed it was almost time, so she started rushing her poses, as she still had alot to do.

An so it continued, A boy watching his sister perform ground breaking poses, that would probably be barned from the Yoga association if they saw it as it was too unsafe.

Vanya was lost in her exercises, untill she lifted her head. And seem to see the time on the watch. It was 11:45, she quickly stoped as it would soon be the time for the launching of 'Game On'

"Brian, please come over here." She gave a shout to her younger brother after making a hand motion with her finger.

"Am about to go into the virtual capsule for some time, i dont really know how long it would take, but am probably going to stay there for a long time, take care of yourself before i come back, make sure to keep studying, and dont open the capsule no matter how long i stay i will be alright"

"In the event that am not back before breakfast tomorow, i have already prepared something for you and it just needs to be microwaved, lock the door and go with your key, i have a spare one with me, "

"In addition, when you come back from school and am still in the virtual game capsule, there is also something prepared for lunch, dont worry about me and remenber dont open the capsule no matter what."

Vanya was giving him instructions when she reached up and gave his hair a light ruffle,

Brian was young but smart, he had always listen to his sister, so she was not wordied about leaving him alone yo himself.

Brian watched as his sister, walked and tgen entered the game capsule she had bought a day before, his brain was still process all what she had just said, he didnt k ow why his sister, who had never been into games had bought a virtual set and was even ready to play it for a long period of time, but he trusted her, he memorized all what she had said and promised to adhere to it.

As Vanya closed rhe door to the capsule, she put the virtual headset on and her whole vision turned white, before slowly turning dark.

Few seconds were enough for her brains to completely connect to the game, and she found herself floating in a void like place.

The virtual realism in this game was 100% it was as if when a player logged in, he had been completely transfered into a new dimension, there would be no feeling of wearing a headset or even lying on a game capsule.

In this timeline this was the first time Vanya had logged into this game in this time line, so as she had not added any games yet, she automatically logged into 'Game on'

The darkness Vanya felt after logging in, faded slowly as everything around her was replaced by a picture perfect scene, that could only be described as garden of eden, and that was exactly what this place was called in the game, just like in the scriptures the Garden Of Eden was the first place Mankind had been before they were finally send to earth.

This place was also the first place a player would come when they logged into the game for the very first time.
