Chapter 5 : Perceiving The Truth.

I got superpowers!

I could do things by just deeply thinking about them and then agreeing with my mind. At that moment, my spirit would leave my body and do what I wanted while my body become unconscious.

I, in form of a spirit, could move from my body to anywhere but no one could see me because a spirit can not be seen.

But what so-called I in form of a spirit was distinct from normal spirits. I could do what a normal spirit could not afford. For example, I could touch and carry physical things.

I controlled everything including movements by my mind just as a normal person can do.

'These superpowers obviously had something to do with the strange sparkling light that appeared a moment ago.'

I thought.

However, all these students couldn't understand this. I was the only shrewd person. I always thought I was more intelligent and wiser than Raymond.

The difference was that he was intelligent in science subjects while I was good in natural philosophy and psychology.

Of course, no one would have agreed with this fact.

After finishing talking, I kept quiet for a while before standing up and sauntering across toward them.

They all started shaking from toe to head.

"Don't come closer. You witch"

One of the students said.

An evil grin crept over my face but in the next instant, it disappeared and was replaced with a cold and murderous face.

"Why are you having useless fears, are you cowards? I don't understand why you can't get it."

I said while stopping in my tracks.

"You have seen everything does that mean you're ignorant? You've seen the strange sparkling light and us getting frozen yet you can't understand something hmph!

"The moment we became conscious, mysterious things start to happen. The first thing, Fred broke the desk with a single punch. Then he slammed the door violently when he was trying to close it.

"Do you think he is so rude that he deliberately closed the door violently? The fact is, he pushed it normally but he has too much strength in his body which caused the light push to become extremely violent."

Everyone seemed to fall deep into their thoughts. Terrified expressions on their faces, gradually disappeared.

"Another mystery, we all know that Ray is wise and intelligent but do you think he's too wise to the point of understanding all the extremely difficult maths that was on the whiteboard? I don't think so, something is amiss. He is thinking too well. He is many times better than before.

I continued with my speech. My voice resonated throughout the class.

"Talking of which, the door closed itself and the invisible hands, it's all mine deeds too. I moved from my body and do all those things with control of my mind. I'm the one who wrote the insults on the chalkboard.

"I can do this but it's also strange and mysterious to me too. However, I understand that we've got superpowers and this has something to do with the mysterious bright light that illuminated us. Have you understood now?"

I explained clearly and most of them came to a sudden realization and understood the series of events that had occurred previously.

Getting it, they were relieved from their fears. I noticed this and smiled in satisfaction. At least my energy hadn't gone in vain.

I had successfully opened their minds.

Raymond was nodding as he stepped forward and said.

"You're right, it is now taking me only a few seconds to understand any problem no matter how difficult it is. The light has indeed given us superpowers and we got superpowers according to what each of us was doing at the moment. For example, I was trying to understand the math problem which Fred gave me and now I can understand everything better than before. In other words, my cognition capacity has improved by leaps.

"Fred was gathering his strength and condensing it to his fist to punch the desk and after the light, his strength soared. He can now release at least 100 lbs with his full-strength punch.

"You, It's obvious, you were deep in your thoughts. You have also gained superpowers according to that."

Raymond explained calmly but elegantly and clearly that everyone understood. I also hadn't thought about this so, I was surprised by his intelligence.

"Oh... wow you've really thought too well than before. Your thinking and cognition capacity has soared for real "

I said while smiling.

Raymond's current thoughts and analysis were the effects of his boosted intelligence.

Great thinker! Super thinker!

Intelligence Is extremely dangerous and domineering than strength.

Strong and terrifying kingdoms and governments have fallen under the sword of intelligence.

Strong and terrifyingly kings, emperors and conquerors have been slaughtered by the sword of intelligence.

It is so terrifying...

The door of the classroom opened itself violently making a loud slamming noise.

An African-American young man appeared in the doorway. He wore big black headphones and a black beanie hat on his head.

That was me knocking off 2 hours earlier before the actual knocking-off time.

Since I intimidated everyone a few moments ago, no one dared to stop me. They watched my figure disappear.

I didn't even close the door behind me. Which could be considered rude.

As soon as I left the school I headed toward home. I lived in an apartment in a Harworth neighborhood of Palas.

My apartment was on the 13th floor of a 15-floor apartment building situated along 34th street. To reach my home I had to use either the neighborhood's main street or a shortcut through a shabby and artful laneway.

Even though the laneway was the shortest way to reach home, it was dangerous, especially at night.

Thugs like to chill there and some lived in a few shabby apartments along the laneway.

However, I still decided to walk along it. I'd got superpowers, why should I be afraid of merely ordinary humans?
