CHAPTER 87

The balcony crackled with tension as Gary's fingers tightened around Raphael's collar. Veins throbbed on his forehead, his eyes narrowed into fiery slits as he leaned in, his voice a dangerous growl.

"You deny kidnapping Laura?" Gary seethed, his grip on Raphael's collar growing even tighter. "You expect me to believe that? You and the whole Larson, have always wanted to see my downfall."

"It's no surprise if you kidnapped her!"

Raphael gasped for breath, his voice strained and desperate. "Let go of me you idiot, I had nothing to do with it! I didn't kidnap her."

"If you couldn't be man enough to protect your lady, then how is it of my concern?"

Gary's mind raced, considering the possibilities. He had enemies, that much was certain.
