CHAPTER 92

After the intimacy, both Gary and Laura lay tangled in each other's arms, their breathing slowly returning to normal.

The sheets were ruffled, evidence of their passionate lovemaking. Laura, still catching her breath, smiled at Gary.

After which she whispered and said to him, "That was amazing, babe."

He in turn smiled and said. "You're incredible, Laura."

Laura untangled herself from his embrace and sat up, her naked form highlighted by the soft glow of the bedside lamp.

"I'm going to freshen up in the restroom. I'll be back in a minute." Laura said.

Gary watched her lovingly as she gracefully got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom. Just as she reached the door, Gary's phone rang, startling him. He quickly reached for it on the nightstand.

With an unknown number displayed, he picked and said. "Hello?"

"Mr. Carter, please, can we meet urgently?" The voice turned out to be Mr Taylor's voice.

Gary's brows furrowed, sensing the urgency in his tone.

He felt slightly concerned an
