Ivy staggered as she heard the news. She never thought it would run so deep or hurt so badly and she was amazed to see it do.

"What did you say?" She asked after a while of silent.

Alex had allowed her to stay quiet. He never said a single word to her and he tried his best to not allow his emotions to show on his face but he was sure that he was doing a terrible job already because when Ivy looked at him, somehow her eyes welled up with more sadness in them.
