Alex enjoyed Andres company. The young man did not talk much and he allowed him to sit in silence and think about the thought that passed through his head. He had a lot of them today and somehow, he knew that he would have to sort through each and every one of them by himself without any sort of help. He knew better than to dwell on his thoughts though. He understood that the more he dwelt on them, the harder it was for him to differentiate between reality and what was fake. "Should I put on some music sir?" Andres asked after a while of sitting in silence. Alex did not understand how the man could get him so much and yet they never had any proper conversations. Or at least, they did not talk as much as he did with his friends. At that point, he had to give it to him. The man knew his work very well. He understood what his assignment was and he stuck to doing just that. He could not doubt his professional behaviour and his knowledge anymore. "Just some blues if possible," Alex sa
"What is he doing here?" Alex was not happy. Billy was one of the people that he loathed. He knew what his father had tried to do to his company. They were not people for be trusted and he knew very well that whatever he had told his friends had to be lied and they were foolish enough to eat everything he was saying up. "Look, you need to calm down now. He is not a threat to us here okay?" Hayden said. "Are you out of your bloody mind? Can you hear yourself talk? This guy is always a threat to us and today is no different. Listen, his father is not a good man." Alex tried to reson with his friends but he was cut short. "Yes, his father is not a good person but he is. Look, he is not the kind of. At least not anymore." Alex scoffed. He could not believe that such words were actually coming out from his friends mouth. "Tell me that you are joking, please. You can't actually believe what this guy is saying to you, now can you? He is a liar. It's the one thing that he is so great at."
"You know your silence is really starting to piss me off. Are you going to talk or you want to wait for the police before you finally do that?" Alex asked angrily. "You see, that right there is what I am trying to avoid." Billy hastily said. "What do you mean?" He sighed. "Look, I know that my father committed a hideous thing and because of that, I don't doubt for one second that he is going to get everything that is coming his way but what I want, and what I want to beg for is to be exempted. Listen, I don't want to be a part of this thing with this man." "So in a nut shell, what you are trying to say is that you do not want to go to jail." Alex said, putting much emphasis on his every word. "Yes, that is exactly what I am trying to say. Look, I really don't want any kind of problems with the police and I believe I am too young to rot away in jail. Plus, I didn't even do much. Half of the things I did was because he forced me to do them. Please, I do not want to be a part of thi
"Billy, you do know that we are still waiting for an answer from you, right?" Alex asked him when he noticed that the young man had gone completely mute"I'm afraid that I don't understand what you are trying to say right now," he finally answered "Well let me break it down for you then," Alex said and rounded the young man. "Rumours have it that you guys placed a mole in my company. Now, all I want to know is who that mole is and if the girl is still working for you."Billy looked around, confused and his eyes were full of worry. "I can assure you, I have no idea what you are talking about. I honestly don't know. I have told you all that I know on this subject and all that I know is that my father worked with some men to try and bring you down. I don't know if they joined forces with any girl. Though I highly doubt it because my father tells me everything and if somethings like this had happened, then I would have definitely known about it.""So what you are telling me now is that y
They restaurant they picked was a little steak house not so far from their school. Alex needed it to be in a place where no one really knew him and so he went to the spot that had the least customer and requested for a private room. Billy and Andres followed behind him closely and the woman who led them to their VIP room must not have recongized or even known who Alex was because she acted so normal. Alex loved it. He hated it when girls would start to act all lovely around him even when they were truly demonic. He preferred it when girls did not know who he was and yet they treated him with respect. Made him feel like a normal person. The woman took them to a dimly light room and Alex could see that she had skeptical eyes and was probably wondering why three men requested for an indoor private room. "If I happen to hear any sounds that is a bit alien to me, I will not hesitate to call the cops and have you kicked out of here. We don't do no freak show around here." The woman said
The waitress returned the second time, this time the commissioner was with her. "You see with some of these women, you just need to show them that you are masculine enough to get them to do what you want. Not all women love a man who can't tell them what to do. I learnt that in a very difficult way." Alex said as he saw the woman approaching their seat. "I think it's because you take away her only source of income but that's alright. Let's just go with that your ideology for now." Billy added "Hello sir. I really apologize for this. I would love to know that whatever you want today is totally on the house. And again, I really apologize for this embrassment that I may have caused you." "You don't have to keep apologizing all the time. It's fine. Just leave for now and we will tell you when we want to order anything okay." He said and the woman walks away. "Well wasn't that something to see " Billy chuckled as he spoke. "I think she may now have a little crush on you. Did you see h
Alex almost went mad. Was this man really giving him an ultimatum on something that was his case? Was he about to tell him how he should behave? What exactly was his problem? Alex wasn't dumb. He knew his rights he is the reason that case is open in that place and he knew very well that whatever he chose to do is what is supposed to be done. So why was the commissioner trying to pull a fast one on him and disregard his command? He leaned back on his chair as he studied the commissioner. At first, the man tried to keep a stern gaze even with the look on him but after a while, he gave him and started to shake. He could tell that he was dealing with a man who did not like to play around. He knew that he was dealing with a learned man. Someone who knew his rights but he has been in the business long enough and he knew very well that it takes two to tango. He had seen men testify in court and later went back to kill the person they testified for. He had seen all sort of terrible thing ha
The commissioner knew that if he wanted Alex to lose all the trust he had in the boy, this would be a great opportunity to achieve that but he also knew that if he didn't, then.he would be allowing criminals to roam around his town.He looked at the list in front of him again. It contained almost everyone that the police force had been looking for. He knew that he would have to keep going. He knew very well that he could not let this go. This would give him that promotion he had always wanted and he won't let it go no matter how badly he wanted to protect Alex. "Commissioner, I believe I am still waiting for an answer from you as I am yet to get one." "I understand sir." He said and looked at the boy sitting with his eyes wide open. He also knew that the commissioner had the power to ruin him and destroy whatever it was that he thought that he could win. He knew very well that it was up to the man to say if he was good or not. The only thing he could do was pray that the man would n
