Chapter 16

Pretending in front of my family that everything was fine, that I felt amazing and that I was still the same as always, was almost intolerable. And it was even more so the feeling that it was impossible for me alone to be able to have some kind of serenity, in my own home.

I couldn't move, but I did feel my body. I was aware of the strange weight that had settled on my feet. His eyes were open, but he was unable to make any movement. I was lying on my back, and the only thing my eyes could catch in the dark was the clear ceiling of my room. Suddenly, the weight that I felt only in my feet began to climb up my body, as if someone were walking on me.
