2024-04-15 18:02:03Sebastien's gaze darkened with fury, “you know, I just stood in the corner, watching. Waiting. Hoping that you wouldn't lay your filthy hands on my wife. How dare you?”
Sebastien was so livid and even Isabelle and Miranda were taken aback by the level of his annoyance.
“Do you have a death wish!” Sebastien thundered.
Romero burst out into laughter, he couldn't hide his amusement. He couldn't believe he was being threatened by a non-entity. “You are very stupid. Who do you think you are to threaten me? I have an expertise in dealing with people like you”
He snapped his fingers twice and three guards came into the office with chains, blindfolds and ak47 guns.
“Tie them up!” He ordered the guards.
Isabelle shivered in fear. Her thoughts ran wild at that point. Was this how she was going to die? Maybe she should have listened to her parents? What if they kill her and Sebastien?
The guards dragged Sebastien away from Isabelle first and chained his wrists and ankles to a pole.
Romero took a sip from his whiskey again and said, “I will torment you both till you die. Next time you'll think twice before stepping into the lion's territory”
Miranda just watched with a smile on her face. She loved what was happening because now Isabelle had lower chances of becoming the next heir.
“Chain the lady opposite her foolish husband so they can see each other's suffering. Bunch of fools!” Romero spat out.
At this order, his guards dragged Isabelle, who followed them without resisting, towards the pole and just when they were in the process of chaining her, Romero's phone rang.
It was Kirill, Romero's boss and the mafia leader of the American mafia group. Romero raised his hands towards his guards signaling them to pause what they were doing, then he picked the call.
“Hello boss, what is it? A man and a woman came to my office demanding money I owe them, can you imagine the audacity? They both bear the surname Hunt”
“The man's name is Sebastien and I have already chained him up, I'm planning on tormenting him till he dies”
Isabelle gasped.
“And then the woman. Such a good body figure can't go to waste. I and my men are going to have a nice time with her later in the evening”
A loud thud was heard from the other side of the line
“Boss, are you okay?”
Then a thunderous voice was blasted into Romero's ear through the phone.
“Alright?! Have you lost your senses?! Are you joking with me right now?! You must be mad. Who do you think you are to beat them up and tie them?! Do you have any idea who Sebastien hunt is?! Look, I don't want trouble. Untie them, do whatever they tell you to do, apologize for them and let them leave. Sebastien Hunt and his family shouldn't be joked with!”
Romero has never seen his boss, Kirill, this scared. His voice was even shaky. That was how frightened his boss was.
“Boss, calm down. Are you mistaken? This man is just a piece of trash that married into the Wilson's family. He is of no essence. I'm sure no one will even notice if he ceases to exist”
“Romero! Romero! Tell me, are you trying to get yourself killed? If you are, just leave my group. I don't want to get myself involved with the hunt family. You and I are insignificant to them. One swat and we are all gone. Do you understand me?!”
“Boss, wait…..” Romero was nervous and became uneasy as sweat drops rolled down his face.
“This is my last warning. That man isn't someone I can even face. Do what I have told you to do and make sure you apologize and most importantly, make sure he accepts your apology!”
The call ended abruptly.
Romero dropped his phone and ordered his guards, “loose the chains. Be quick! Be quick!”
Isabelle was surprised, she wondered what the conversation with his boss was about that made him nervous,scared and most importantly made him order the guards to release them.
Meanwhile Sebastien smiled cockily. He knew Romero's boss must be fond of the family name ‘hunt’. People who were familiar with malinfania history knew there was only one ‘hunt’ family and they are popularly known as the family of the god of war.
Miranda stood up surprised that Romero was willing to let them go just like that. “What? Are you telling me you'll just release them like that? What happened to teaching them a lesson?”
Romero shouted and swung his hand, landing a slap on Miranda's face

He then pointed at one of the guards, “You! Get this insane woman out here. How dare she question my decision?!”
The guard came over and grabbed Miranda by the arm dragging her towards the opened door. She struggled against their grip, “But I haven't gotten the lands yet!”
“Get out! I'm not giving you any land. Just forget about it or do you think I'll return your filthy wristwatch ” Romero chuckled, “forget about it, I'll rather sell the wristwatch and make extra cash. Now get out of here!”
The drags continued dragging her and when she got to where Sebastien and Isabelle stood she threatened that she'll complain to grandfather and she will make sure they pay for all this!
Then the guards took her out of the office.
Romero then turned to Isabelle and Sebastien and asked, “How much is the debt? I'll give you the money now”
He then turned to sebastien and said, “ Mr hunt, Mrs Wilson, I'm so sorry for how I behaved earlier please forgive me. Please do not mind what I said earlier”
Isabelle was shocked
Romero's change after the call was so sudden
Sebastien just had a smile on his face, he knew Romero's boss must have settled the matter.
“You are going to send the money now and also you will add interest to it to pay for the troubles you have caused us. That is when this will all be settled”
“Yes, Mr Hunt, I'll do that right away” then he went to write the check and handed it to them.
